I was little unsure about buying this camera because I was only able to find one review here on Amazon and another on Crutchfield but I decided to give it a try because I liked the specs, size and the Blaupunkt name.

First, the bracket is nice and with a little fiddling, I can get the camera pointed in the right direction to be able to capture the front of the car's view. The suction cup is strong and is certainly capable of holding the lightweight camera up for possibly years without ever having to touch it. The hand-tightening screw on the side holds the camera well. For my setup, I would rather have had a bracket that would attach to my rearview mirror instead of a suction cup to the window, but this works fine. The camera itself is extremely light and constructed well, the design is appealing and looks attractive hanging from your windshield. The click of the buttons on the dash cam identity when they've been pressed, and are a bit small, but that's to be expected on a device this tiny, I wouldn't want them bigger. So far, the camera does a good job, having had this for just a few days, we haven't had much sun, but in reviewing the video, I'm satisfied with what I'm able to pick up so far, I'll edit this if my review should change in the coming months. The screen is extremely small, so much that I'm certain that is is only really useful to verify that it is recording and you can approximate what you're recording by looking at the screen. To look for more detail, you'll have to take your micro-SD card and check it out on your home computer.

The size, color and look of this camera I really like because it gives it a more "stealthly" look versus some of the other dash cams available, where it doesn't garner much attention outside the car.

I like the design of this dash cam. It is very stealth......and worked well. The 1.5" screen was just too small in my opinion making playback difficult. I ended up returning and buying the Blaupunkt 2.0 version (not sold on Amazon). The screen is 2.0" and easier to view playback. The 2.0 came with a manual book, rather then a flimsy piece of paper that came with the 1.0 version to explain operation. The price of the 1.0 version is excellent, but it was worth the extra money to upgrade to the 2.0 version. I felt more comfortable buying a dash cam that came from a recognizable brand versus the generic and unknown brands most dash cams seem to be.

Instructions are awful!!! But you could figure it out. Small and discreet and nicely put together. Suction-cup is great. Video playback at the HD level is nice, but wasn't impressive. Good enough for a little assurance while driving though. It works great when it works. But sometimes it shuts down on it's own. I have played around with the "AUTO POWER OFF" features where it will shut off when you would turn the engine off. It's supposed to record for 2, 5, or 10 minutes after you leave the car but this doesn't seem to work for me as it always shuts down within 10 seconds. I was going to possibly change the battery but they put a sticker over one of the screws which will void the warranty if I attempt to replace the battery. This one is probably going back as well.

Well, there are lot of things that I can say about this device since I had two of them. I was in Germany when I decided to by this model in Conrad store. Thinking about German brend in Germany I had more trust that I will get something which is different than on other markets.

First one I bought in December 2014 when there was really small amount of reviews on internet that I can check. With few reviews I decided to buy it. For me the most important was its size as I wanted something which is not going to take lot of space on your windshield. After few days I realized that battery in camera does not hold its power for more than an hour. I was thinking that must be some factory issue with my first one then I went back and replace it for another one. Again problem with battery was similar to first camera that I had, instead of an hour, second camera was holding its power for about 2 hours.

Then I tried to hide charger placing its cable around windshield but once that was huge problem and you need to take out roof cover in your car I decided to leave it and to charge it every two hours because it was turning off by itself just with some stupid sound. There were no more than 20 days when I left Germany and battery went so bad that could not hold its power at all. So it was useful only if it's connected to charger all the time.

After about 5 months charger died as well, I guess because it was charging battery so often. Do I need to mention that my camera was on only when I was driving, not when car were in garage in my house? I used Garmin charger to charge camera and gps device and that charger which was connected almost all the time is still in good shape.

Bought this locally as it was on sale. Was listed as costing $149.98, then went on sale for $89.98 and then dropped again to $49.98 - which is what I paid. Got tired of swapping my Cobra brand dash cam from the Jeep to my daily driver. At first it worked fine but a month later and the screen flashes on and off. Half of the video recording isn't being stored on the microSD card. Now the colour is way off with a pinkish tone and sometimes it records with the top half of the image on the bottom and the bottom half of the image on top. In other words, the camera isn't keeping its horizontal hold. I currently have it plugged into it's DC power adapter to a regulated AC to DC converter and now it's recording with the image rolling from bottom up, horizontal hold lost. Like the old tube type TV's.

If I leave it on without recording the colour is correct and there are no issue with the image being displayed on the LCD screen. The pink tint is gone and there is no rolling of the image from bottom upward. Probably going to take it back to the store for warranty claims.

Audio is good though. Mine will see in darkness OK if I crank up the brightness or "EV" setting before recording. Takes nice stills too.
