The case is incredibly well made, and looks like it would be great for the shorter phantom 2 models. However, it does not fit the recently updated vision models (e.g. vision+). The blades do not clear, and if removed the motors are still too tall to clear the foam top properly.

The photos Amazon has posted also DO NOT match the case. The foam blade guards on the edges are not there, and instead there are short semi-circle cut outs to help align the blades. These, unfortunately, were too short to function on my phantom. I'm not sure if this design change has altered the compatibility with vision models, or if DJI has increased landing gear height since this case was designed.

I wouldn't hesitate to buy this case if you have the shorter landing gear, but look towards the two inch deeper wheeled version of this case if you are trying to fit in a current generation vision+.

I ordered this for my Phantom 2 Vision + V3.0 this past week. The actual foam insert was a little different than shown. Bonus for me, because now I have a place for all 4 of my batteries. Very sturdy case. I haven't this tried yet, but it appears that you could throw this case from a moving vehicle, off the bridge, into the mountain stream under said bridge, and (if you were able to find said case a week later) still be able to pull your quadcopter out and fly into oblivion. I chose this case because the propellers were actually below the top level of the foam cutout. This design looked like it would put less stress on the props in times of extended storage - which in Minnesota is usually the 6 months of the year that we call "winter".

I don't know how I got along without this. They have thought of every thing in this case. it has space for 3 batteries, the car charger for the batteries, my Ipod, all the tools I need, documentation, memory cards, the controller and spare batteries for it and it is padded well enough if you leave it on the roof of your car and take off nothing will be damaged when it falls off.

I installed a Rotorpixel Gimbal on my Phantom 2 Vision which moved the camera forward by about 30mm, there is enough extra padding in the case that i could cut away a slot in front of the Phantom to make space for the camera and still have plenty of padding left.

I am very happy with it,

I purchased the Phantom Vision 2 Plus and wanted a case to carry it in and protect it when not flying. This case is amazing. Pre-cut and set up perfectly to carry the Phantom and controls as well as two additional batteries and all the accessories. The case is sturdy and well crafted. There is a positive click open and shut that keeps the lid from falling down when open. The case is reported water tight and it appears this will be the case (I hope not to find out either way). There are two places where locks can be added for additional security. The case fell out of my jeep the other day as I was getting ready to practice some flight maneuvers. Other than a small scuff to the edge everything was fine. A must buy for anyone who wants to protect their expensive toy.

Having used quite a few cases over the years, ranging from reinforced backpacks, to polymer hard cases, this case is easily one of the best I've used. The case came well packed in a delux (lol) cardboard box with no padding. I was terrified it might have been damaged during shipping. (that was a joke.) My first impression was "wow, this thing is big". My second impression was "wow, this thing is big!". Size aside, the case is good looking. For lack of a better term, it has an "understated sportiness" about it. The matte black finish with bits of red thrown in here and there make the case look more like something you'd transport a futuristic, high powered sniper rifle in.

I should note that the product picture isn't accurate. The interior of the case I received has red inserts under the black foam top, and has places for three spare batteries.

The lid is held in place by four locking clamps, all of which fit tightly and feel very durable. There is a large handle on the top/front of the case, and a smaller handle that folds flat against the bottom/back of the case when not in use. The foam insert inside the case is closer to the hardness of rubber than the squishy foam found in many cheap cases. Adding to the style factor just slightly, the top layer of foam is black, with the underlying layers red.

Pro:
The case is fairly stylish for a hard case. Matte black with a few splotches of red thrown in here or there lend the case an almost "sporty" look.
It's big enough to hold just about anything you could ever need for a Phantom.

Great case fits the phantom vision 2 plus perfect! Also. Spot for your phone inside. Great case would buy another if I get another drone. I can keep the prop blades on and it's ready to go. Also holds 2 battery slots for extra batteries and molded slots for other accessories. Note I don't have prop guards on my drone so I can't verify the fit with prop blades. This is the perfect case for the drone!
