I used this for making soaps as gifts before Christmas. I did not use any artificial colors or fragrances. I did break down and use a melt and pour soap for time reasons. This one was excellent. It does contain SLS and sodium stearate so you cannot consider it hypo-allergenic (for that matter, neither are my home colors and fragrances). It was very easy to use, melted smoothly, blended smoothly and made a lovely lather. You can find an SLS free melt and pour on [...] not sure if Amazon sells it. I also note that the price for the melt and pour is very reasonable but the shipping cost was high. It diminished as I ordered more. I recommend this as a good quality, reasonably priced melt and pour soap (just be aware that it will not be quite as good if you make your own but it will be good enough to make lovely gifts).
