Connection was easy and painless between my 42-inch LG TV and Asus Zenbook UX302LA. It took a little longer to connect with my Nexus 5 but once it did, everything went well.

While it worked, it did flawlessly. There was no noticeable lag or latency. However, the device disconnects every five minutes and my TV screen freezes up even as video playback continues on the Zenbook. I've tried moving the adapter around but the result is the same. It is barely three feet from my PC.

An otherwise nifty Miracast dongle is ruined by constantly dropping signal mid-stream.

I am a high-tech junky and usually don't give up easily when something technical throws me a curve ball. This adapter initially connected to my projector to my Vivotab note without a hitch and mind you this is from the adapter to the Denon receiver, from there to a IOGear wireless HDMI connection to my projector on the other side of the wall. Video and audio where in sync and the fact that the screen on my Vivotab lagged behind didn't bother me.
A week later, while trying to connect again and this time it should be a simple reconnect as the device is already listed as paired, it would not connect. I ended up resetting the adapter and removing the connection on the Vivotab only to get the same issue. I would have a short flicker were it seemed to connect but then the adapter would go though its boot sequence where it shows the adapter image + the tablet = Display. I tried all sorts of combinations of micro usb cords and power sources as I wanted to make sure there wasn't a current draw issue and even swiched the HDMI cable. Nothing would help. At this time I am disappointed that it only worked once.

We bought more than 50 of these so far and had 3 go bad (don't plug them in to the USB ports on your HDTV if it's an older model). The best part about C2G vs. Netgear is that their tech support is much better and more responsive. The device itself is just as good as the P2TV device that Netgear sells, but when I had 2 of the Netgear devices go bad, it took triple the amount of time to get support.

The device itself is rock solid. At first we were having Miracast issues but as we've added varying devices that support this technology, we've come to find out that the problem is almost always with the broadcasting device and not this Miracast adapter. Android phones and tablets as well as Windows 8 computers have all been streaming to these little boxes and for the classroom, that has been a huge benefit for our teachers.
