I didnt know what to expect when Combichrist released this album, but I was quiet pleased with this release. Im not going to lie, combichrist decided to try a few new things with this album

Songs like "Every Day Is War" and "From My Cold Dead Hands" are a few of the songs that might appeal to the fans of the older sound of Combichrist, whereas songs like "Love Is A Razor" and "Maggots At The Party" have taken the band in an entirely different direction. The addition of these 2 songs has brought the band into trying a little bit of metal mixed in with their classic industrial aggrotech style that most are accustomed to hear from them. Dont be too harsh on the band for trying something new. I personally enjoyed hearing the change, it was refreshing for me.

Though i will admit the second half of the album felt more like the instrumental songs were more for filler than actual songs, but I digress. If you are a fan of combichrist, i recommend it to you. If you are new to the band, give it a go. Just dont go in expecting it to be the best album ever. It has its moments of pure adrenaline thumping floor stomping tunes... but it has flaws, just like any other cd any band has released.

4/5 for me.

Amazing. Simple as that. Andy has blended the Combichrist sound we have all come to love with good old fashion rock. Like all great albums, it catches you off guard at first, but after a few listens, it gets you hooked. His voice, in my opinion, has always had a metal sound to it, so the step he took on this album seems like a logical one. He still has songs that are easily recognizable as Combichrist, but with the diversity on this album, he shows everyone what makes him tick. I'm hooked!

This album rocks ridiculously hard. It sounds great but it does not sound like old school Combichrist aggro. Instead is sounds a lot like Ministry at their best mixed with Combichrist and a bit of XP8. I think it is amazing for fans of old Ministry or KMFDM but give it a listen before you buy if you don't like metal.

<angst hat on>
It's probably because I'm a long time Combichrist fan that I hate this album. His old stuff was always a delicate balance of mediocre vocals on slightly better than average electronic songs with just enough angst and anger to hold it together. Now that he has aspirations to grow into new styles of songs and actually sing, things are... different. I felt he/they used to have a unique sound but now try to sound like everybody else. Personally, I blame Rammstein. ;-) I have no basis for that...
</angst hat off>

The last six songs of the deluxe album are good, though, because they do ring true to the "early days" and fit well with the WTF Is Wrong With You (Dark Side) album... where it seems like he just makes one good pattern and drones it on for five minutes. Riot Station is great. I'm not sure what to make of The Plan. It sounds like seven minutes on the other side of a reverb algorithm.

I won't lie; this wasn't the first time I listened to Combichrist and I'm not a long time fan either, but I like their new album. I'm not a fan of one specific type of music, I like whatever sounds good. Some of Combichrist's old fans have said this isn't a good album, I'd like to point out they're either dumb or smoking some reefer. I'm not even a big Industrial or Aggrotech fan, I pay most of my attention to metal and punk bands.

My favorite songs are "We Were Made to Love You," "Every Day is War," "Can't Control," "Satan's Propaganda," "Maggots at the Party," "Love is a Razorblade," "From My Cold Dead Hands," and "We Rule The World, Mo********ers."

I definitely think this album is worth listening to, but I wanted to give this a listen online before I spend my money. If you like their old stuff and maybe some alternative metal bands, you should like this.

Crazy hard thumping terror techno/industrial dance music. Terror EBM to be correct. Anyways, there are a couple club hits on this album as well as a couple good songs to drive your car to while going fast down a highway or something. COMBICHRIST is for fans of ANGELSPIT, SUICIDE COMMANDO, PANZER AG, UNTUR NULL and SKOLD.

This album brings back all I loved about them in the first place. The first track "We Were Made to Love You" gave a new twist to Combichrist, it had something I never heard from them, metal. They manage to mix up industrial and metal and made it work. Of course there are classic sounding Combichrist tracks in it such as "From My Cold Dead Hands" then they throw in Metal Tracks such as "Maggots at the Party" the album has a lot going for it, it's definitely Combichrist's best album since "What the F**** is Wrong With You People?" I was not a fan of "Making Monsters" however, I'm a huge fan of this.

Better than "today we are all demons" but not better than "what the F*ck is wrong with you people?". EBM and Industrial-dance music for fans of SUICIDE COMANDO, DISMANTLED, and PANZER AG.
