This is good for more than itching. I have herpetic nerve damage leading to intense pain on a plain, healthy patch of skin. I wear pain patches, but they are 12 hours on and 12 hours off. When they are off, I have found that rubbing this ointment in deadens the painful nerve endings and lets me live a pain=free life. It is 30% benzocaine, which is a powerful anesthetic, and won't stain even a white dress shirt. I can't make it without my Lanacane!
