We have dogs...pural..and many sizes. Our teeny Shih Tzu with his very sensitive stomach and little teeth and our giant Louisiana Catahoula Leopard dog with all kinds of energy needs. We were buying lamb and rice for some and chunky everything for others. Stupid! Gotta get those dogs all on one food. We chose purina puppy chow. Worked perfect. Normal poop and easy to chew for small teeth and our pup likes it! Most important is no loss in energy from the biggest dog. All we could ask. We are not a breeder. We just like having indoor and outdoor dogs, mutts and pure breds and this works for everyone except our rabbits. Yeah the ducks like it but they need to stop stealing. Nice . our vet says our dogs are perfect...not fat and not skinny and very smart.

Definitely on the lower end of the dog food quality spectrum. Just read the ingredients. I only bought it because it's what my pup was being fed before I got him so I bought a bag just so I can wean him off to a better quality food. Don't be cheap, spend a little more money to get a better quality food for your dog.

Well...its dog food so I havent tried it myself, but the dogs seem to like it. We just got a new puppy a few months back and this was what he was already eating when he came home. We tried the foofoo and really expensive brands with our pups and they always seem to upset the stomach, this hasnt. Its from a trusted name, not been under recall, and the price is right.

I know its puppy chow, but puppies grow up, the pieces are extremely small, im not sure the golden retriever even chews.

We were advised both from a top breeder and a top trainer in our area that the food, the brand, everything was just fine for our dogs. We own two, both technically still puppies, and we are not disappointed. Their fur is full, their coats are shiny, they are thriving. They are both very muscular and extremely active dogs, who play constantly, they arent getting fat like some people may claim with the whole "junk food" buy my $50 a bag instead crowd.

I love that when we get low on dog food all I have to do is make a few clicks on amazon and puppy is set in 2 days. No packing up the kids and getting a huge bag of dog food. This came right to my door in 2 days no carrying it and packing it from the car to the house. Soon as it arrived my fiance grabbed it up and put it in his food bin. This was so much easier and I can reorder anytime no commitment I am very happy with that! I love my puppy and love that I can give him some good dog food for a great price. I know sometimes Purina gets a bad rep for products but I haven't had issues with any of the chow brands and we have used them forever.

The quality was very nice and the packaging was completely sealed and brand new. The only reason I didn't give five stars was because I have a German Shepard puppy and when I talked to my vet about giving her this food (bc the breeder fed her this food) she said it wasn't very good for her breed.

My 10 month old dog has been eating this for the past two months and he really likes it. The dog food that his previous owner gave us was making him have diarrhea and vomit so we changed his food to this and he's been just fine for two months. We plan on switching to an adult food in a couple more months but we will be sticking with Purina brand when we do.

Puppy Chow is great, but I'm really upset with Prime Pantry for discontinuing this item. As dog owners and vets will tell you, puppy chow is not interchangeable. We now must go to the local grocery store for this item. Since dog food was one of our primary reasons for joining prime, this is a major disappointment.

I realize that this dog food is cheap but if you care about your dogs, you will not buy it. I do not have much money, but I always try to buy my puppy the best food, which is usually Blue Buffalo or Iams Naturistics. When my puppy suddenly ran out of food, I was forced to go to Walmart to get dog food just until I could get to another store that sold good dog food. I saw this food and thought, "Well, it's just for a few days, so I'll just buy this little 4 dollar bag". Iams, which I would rather get even if it wasn't Naturistics, was all sold out. So, I decided on this food which was the worst decision ever! My puppy vomited excessive amounts of yellow bile twice a day for 3 days, and I was too stupid to realize it might be the food. I finally got a hold of REAL, HEALTHY dog food and quickly switched the food. She stopped throwing up IMMEDIATELY and hasn't thrown up since. I don't know what they put in this food, but I know it's no good for your dogs! I would give this zero stars if I could.
