I received my fan earlier than expected. The fan is very nice, with a nice weight. When you open the fan, it gives that nice "chot" sound, which is perfect for performing martial arts. I look forward to practicing with it. I'm a little worried about the metal that holds the fan together. I'm not sure it will endure years of use, but we'll see. The fabric is nylon and the edges are not finished, so I'm worried it will fray. I was hoping it was cotton, but no such luck. For the price, it will be excellent for practice. When this fan wears out I'll probably look for one that has cotton fabric. The seller was very quick in responding and making sure I knew my package was on its way toward delivery. I would definitely recommend this seller again. The fan is actually really good for fanning yourself to keep cool.

This is a reasonable fan for practicing tai chi/kung fu. I am used to using a heavier metal fan, so this one feels very very light to me. I got it hoping that it wouldn't be as noisy as my metal one, and would allow me to practice more discreetly. It is still quite loud. On the upside, it is much lighter to carry around, and feels like it will probably last for a while.

The fan is nice and large. It has a certain heft to it and produces a wonderful crack sound if you open the fan quickly. My one gripe and what caused this product to lose a star is that it uses some cheap glue to hold the fan together. This means that if you are not careful, you can ruin your fan potentially permanently. Of course for the price point, this isn't a deal breaker.

I was very disappointed in the two fans that I purchased. In fact, they were the first items that I have ever returned to Amazon.
The materials that were used and the assembly of those parts was all lacking in quality, assuming that the buyer is going to use them in
a Tai Chi Fan Set. There were at least two bad ribs, either weak or misshapen, on each of the fans, and the sail material was poorly attached,
with varying spaces between the ribs and loose material on the edges. The result was a fan that closed poorly and felt as bad in the hand.
These would be fine for use as a decoration but not for Tai Chi Fan Set use.

Sending for this Tai Chi Fan, was a pleasure from start to finish. The product itself is both beautiful and practical. It is made sturdy, which is important for Tai Chi use. But the most pleasant thing of all, was the service from the seller. The Asian passion for propriety was evidenced by not one but two emails; the first , thanking me for the purchase and the second, assuring me that any problems with it would be dealt with immediately and to my satisfaction.The warm attitude of the Chinese seller was humbling, and made me smile. I know this review is unusual, but so was the exceptional handling of the entire purchase. I would not hesitate to do business with them again...in fact, I would look forward to it.

My Tai Chi instructor asked me to pick up 10 Tai Chi fans. We were looking for bamboo fans (more organic feel than plastic or steel) so our choices were limited. I first placed an order with "BladesUSA" (also a Chinese distributor) but after 30 days of not filling the order and not bothering to send an email explaining the delay I cancelled the order. I then ordered fans from NuoYa001. The next day I received an email from them saying the fans were shipping (a day before Amazon's similar email). NuoYa001 estimated that they would arrive in 10 to 18 days (Amazon estimated 3.5-6 weeks). They arrived on my doorstep 13 days after placing the order. I'm particularly pleased with the distributor for making the extra effort. The fans work great, although I'm new to using a fan in Tai Chi and have nothing to compare them to. My instructor says they're better quality than the one she uses. I can't expect much for $9 (plus no S/H fees), but these work well and have a great "snap" when flipped open. We may purchase more and if we do it'll be the same product through the same distributor.

It is beautiful: sturdy frame with some weight makes it so easy to open and close when practicing the Tai Chi dance.
Excellent customer service: Even though I happened to order the fan right before The Chinese New Year when there would be a delay in shipping because of The Feast Celebration, the seller was very kind in keeping me updated with my order and I did received the fan a lot sooner than I expected.
