These socks fit true to size and are comfortable, but I'm not sure they are worth the pricetag.
I purchased these for my wife as a Christmas gift, and they fit as expected.
They are padded in a the right places, wick away sweat, and fit great!

The Thirty48 socks are the most expensive pair of socks I have purchased to date. They arrived in a very nice package, each sock in their own holder, and the package even had magnets in it to keep the cardboard flaps closed.

The socks themselves are nice and thick and are very very comfortable.

The biggest thing no one mentions in their reviews, or even the product description is the fabric material composition of the sock.

33% CoolMax
27% Cotton
30% Nylon
8% Polyester
2% Lycra

Because these socks have Cotton in them, makes them less quick-drying compared to the high end ($10+ socks) and less ideal for any long distance kind of running. I'm very surprised no one has mentioned this anywhere.

Only owning this pair for 2 weeks, and wearing them a few times, my left sock already started to develop a hole in the pull-tab and the seam that connects it to the sock. Inside the sock the construction seems to be ok, many many loose threads inside. (Great support from the store thought, they promised to give me a replacement.)

I can't speak for the durability of the sock, but I don't expect it to last very long for such an expensive pair.

Overall the sock seems to be a good every day sock and good for short runs.

I run 20-30 miles per week. I had a problem with blisters last week and needed a better pair of socks. I had worn out my favorite pairs of Under Armor brand Armor Fit socks. I wanted cushioning, but nothing that would retain heat. My goal was to be able to get through my long runs outdoors for 10 miles or more without blisters. The Thirty48 sock company claims to be solely dedicated to making the best socks for athletes. I received the socks, put them on and ran 10 miles. No blisters this week and my feet were comfortable the whole run.

These socks are not terribly thick, but you will want a little extra room in your running shoes compared to a lighter pair of socks in the toe box. So far, I love these socks. I expect that you will like them also.

Update: I have put probably over 100 miles each on two pairs of Thirty48 socks. I like them better than any socks that I have tried to date. They do a great job of managing moisture, even at high temperatures and humidity. The design provides protection where you need it and still are not too thick to become bulky. The socks have worn well and have proven effective even out on runs over 10 miles. I love these socks and will buy more.

These socks are everything they say they are. I've tried a LOT of different brands because I run and walk for distance and always manage to come back with blisters either from my socks running down the heels or moisture wicking on the sides of my feet by my toes. I had a short race and a long run day in the same weekend and my feet feel GREAT. No shin splits, no blisters and not even sore feet. The technology behind these socks made it feel like I was just casually walking...Definitely my "go to" brand for my upcoming marathon.

I work in Afghanistan and my feet are always getting overheated and sweaty, beat up from walking in boots in gravel and eventually stinky as hell. I found these socks on Amazon and gave them a shot and they are fantastic. I now have 3 pairs. I rotate between heavy boots, hiking boots and trail sneakers and my feet don't overheat, get chafed or sweaty and the added padding in the heal is great. They hold up in the wash here too. Whoever designed these did a great job.

As someone who competes in Triathlons, I run between between 10 and 30 miles a week. And although these socks look good, they are made of a questionable blend of materials, and I would not recommend these at all. I was very excited for these, because they looked really cool. After wearing them for about an hour (not even running, just walking around my house) there was already significant pilling on the bottom. And I have to say, my feet were anything but "Cool and Dry". In fact, as soon as I put them on, my feet started sweating. This is likely due to the cotton blend they use. If you are going to spend this kind of money on a running sock. You are better off with a Thorlo Experia or Brooks Run-in Double Tab, from my experience.

As a devout Thorlo buyer, I thought I'd try the Thirty 48's a try because it was a great deal for 3 pairs vs. one pair of Thorlo Experia's.

This is an incredibly thick, bulky sock in my opinion. If you like Thorlo's, especially the Experia style, I doubt you will like all the bulk of this sock. I run about 4-5 miles a day and I would be a hot mess if I wore this sock. Maybe in the winter, I could deal with the "warmth" of this style, but now, no way.

I'll stick to my Thorlo Experia's. There's a reason they're pricey, they're extremely comfortable and breathable! But, first, I am NOT an investor, employee or otherwise economically related to the company. I just know a great sock when wear one.

A great way to keep your Tholo investment (or any pricey sport sock) in tact for the long haul:

1) Hand wash or wash inside-out on delicate cycle (cold) with Woolite.
2) Air dry. The dryer is your enemy with these pricey socks. Baby them.
3) When you're done working out, take them off. Don't wear them around the house. We tend to shuffle our feet when we're lazy or tired which wears out the pads and heals, you're source of comfort and stability. So put on your Hanes or sandals after that hard run.
4) If you have stains on them (I play tennis on clay), use a stain stick and soak them. I'm always tempted, but I leave the hot water for dishes.

Hope that helps. I've got 5 pairs of Thorlo's, but I'm not rich. I look for every opportunity to get the most out of my clothes!

BTW, anyone giving "0's" to these less than 5 star comments is obviously too invested in the sock to give other's opinions a chance to be heard.
