I purchased a set of those headphones for my nephew to use on his PS4. When they came in I tested them to make sure I was not giving him a faulty gift. I tested them on both NBA 2K14 (the park) and on Tomb Raider as well as COD: Ghosts. After using them for a couple of hours, I had to get a pair for myself. I have read comments about the volume being bad, being faulty or unreliable, and not for adult heads. I have experienced none of those issues. I have a pretty large head, 7 3/4 in a New Era hat, and they adjusted to more than my head would need. The volume is excellent. I played my games with the volume wheel turned at about 50% and at some points in the game it was too loud. The bass in headphones is pretty good. It is major upgrade from the ridiculous headset that comes with the console and is better than TV speakers by far. I wouldn't doubt that the $100-$350 headsets sound amazing and blow this one out of the water. However, for $30 you cannot beat this headset. I would recommend it to anyone that is wanting to get a good product for little money. If you are expecting 7.1 surround sound out of this headset, you will not find it. Expect to spend a lot more money for that. For the price though, it is a great product that enhances the sound of the game and adds some decent bass to explosions, gun fire, etc. I would recommend this product.

The headset is on the cheaper end of the spectrum, so keep that in mind when purchasing. The sound quality has been terrific since I started using it. Haven't had any problems with game audio or chat audio. One thing that sort of shocked me was the size of the earcups. They are small. That or I have gigantic ears by tritton standards. Attached is a photo of one with my controller for scale. If imagine the small size will become uncomfortable with hours of continuous playing.

Well when I first got it..it works fine and everything.. but after 1 month and 1/2 after the expiration of the return policy on 22SEP15 ..the right plastic headset broke...it still works but the plastic broke where you adjust the size of it..

Best headphones for the price, the only bad thing is when you have them on for maybe an hour and you take them off, your ears hurt for a little bit but anyway I like them and would buy them again if they broke

Had it four hours and it worked great. Great item. After four hours of ownership my dog chewed it into a million pieces so apparently they taste as good as they sound. On another note, if anyone needs a mini schnauzer who hates kids, barks at the wind, and eats gaming head sets, send me a note and I'll ship his butt to you.

Got these as a Christmas gift. Mic stopped working after two days.

After testing it out on a few different platforms I called tech support. They verified the problem and told me to fill a form out online for a warranty replacement. That required a copy of the receipt. Managed to get one from my family, scan it and submit the claim. Then nothing happened for a few days.

Instead of waiting any longer, a nice person from Amazon allowed me a full refund of the cost, despite that the headset was over two months past it's return period (they were purchased in October). THANKS AMAZON!

When I finally did hear from Mad Catz/Tritton, it was an e-mail asking me to fill out another form.

For the two days the headset did work, I thought they had decent sound quality. They're a bit bulky for "on ear" headphones. My girlfriend said they made me look like a helicopter pilot. The flexible microphone apparently can't withstand repeated flexing, judging by my issue. Whoever designed the look of these things was on the money, in spite of being large, they have a modern minimalist look that is really attractive. Unfortunately the build quality doesn't compare.

I haven't purchased a Mad Catz product ever since getting a 3rd controller for my N64. I stopped buying their stuff because poor design and build quality really outweighed the cost savings of not buying 1st party. Looks like they figured out the design part at least, and that's why I asked for these things in the first place. I guess the more things change, the more things stay the same.

TL;DR - Worked for two whole days. Warranty replacement was a long and arduous process, so I begged Amazon to return them. They did and I got something else.

I have small ears , the headphones are comfortable. Sound is great, sounds better than the Sony Silver wired headset. They are 3.5 mm headphones that you plug directly in the ps4 controller. People hear me loud and clear.
Thing to know.
If you send chat only to headphones(instead of all audio ), you'll only get audio on the left channel.
