Perfect gift for my son, fast delivery, excellent condition, he loves it
It is nice to know he is warm and looks so much better than the stupid hoodie he was always wearing.
Fits as expected - very practical.

My son was preparing to go to college in the north eastern US. Living in Arizona, he was not prepared for the weather awaiting him, so we had to get him some warm clothing. Cabellas had these but they were quite a bit more money. We tried it on and were going to buy it but the size and color combination were not available for a few days. When we got home, we checked on Amazon, and not only is/was it available, but its cheaper!! We ordered it and 2 days later it arrives.

It comes as follows---The outer shell, and liner complete and in one bag. The liner is zipped inside the outer shell, ready for wearing.

The idea is that you wear the outer shell alone, or with the liner zipped inside-- depending on how cold it is.

THe outer shell---is the color part, and is heavy and thick, is waterproof, is like a heavy nylon jacket with 2 pockets on sides, one inside.
The LINER--is fleece, very warm, very soft, and has a pocket on chest. Its also heavy and thick. See the photos--you can see all of this clearly.

Its also got a very warm hood to keep your head warm.

Either can be worn alone and they look great. The outer shell looks like a jacket, the inner liner looks like a fleece sweater jacket or fleece shirt.

If and when the weather turns cold, and/or is wet, then you zip the liner into the outer shell and voila, you have a winter coat. It works well. There are many different colors, and the quality is second to none. Its really an excellent concept, especially for situations where you are planning to travel, or planning a ski trip, and dont need a "parka" except for that one time. This allows you to have all options open and available for many different climates. I recommend this to anyone.

IT truly is 3 different--completely different coat/jackets in ONE. Great product.

Having seen the women's version of this coat on someone, I knew I like the layered construction...fleece inner jacket, nylon? outer jacket. My son loves wearing the fleece inner jacket around the house and then putting on the outer jacket when he leaves. He's 6'3" and 230...the XL fits him perfectly.

Nice combo unit. To late in the winter to wear both the shell and the liner but so far I really like the shell for a light in between jacket. That's honestly why I bought it. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the price on Amazon. The in store price was $210 which I would not have paid.

Good concept and poor execution. The liner is "sticky" and makes putting it on with any shirt, flannel, etc. awkward. The sleeves of the liner will catch the shirt and push out the end of the sleeves.

So, take out the liner and use the shell with a heavy sweater, or as I do, a down jacket with hood to stay warm and dry (the shell's function) when it's cold and windy. I bought this as I needed an XL gray shell for open water duck hunting and it's excellent for that, one of the few shells of the right color and large enough to go over a shirt, sweater, parka liner all tucked into waders, and then a down jacket to stay warm lying on the bottom of a boat in open water, temps in the 20's or below.

Otherwise, for general wear I don't think it would work well unless you already have a sweater (such as the Beretta or Orvis windproof sweaters), another fleece with lined sleeves, or, like me, a German parka liner that will keep you warm. Must be a combo jacket and liner that solves some of these problems, but this isn't it.

Bought for a winter trip to Germany but it doesn't look as warm as the name would suggest but I think it will suit our son well for a Pacific Northwest winter; so we kept it. It's basically a rain jacket with a zip-in pile jacket.

My husband LOVES this coat. I was mildly concerned that it wouldn't be worth the money but it's AWESOME. We live in the Pacific Northwest but have family on the East Coast so I needed to find a coat that he could use in both places and this is IT. The bottom portion is nice and warm and it's an attractive and easy to manage coat. Very pleased.

I got a size too big for myself (xl) and I love this jacket!!! I got the larger size because I knew I would mostly wear just the fleece, since I live in GA, but wanted the shell for sailing on cold winter days. I love the look and the feel, and the price is just awesome. I would suggest getting this if you are looking for a proper winter coat with a lot of year round flexibility.

Very good jacket. Fits a bit large. I am 1.86m and ordered a large size. Not really for a very cold weather. I used it in about -10 Celsius and had to use a light sweater underneath the jacket. Great quality material though. Definitely will buy something else from Columbia.
