Directions
Feed one GREENIES Hip & Joint Care Canine Dental Chew per day to adult dogs. Not suitable for dogs less than 5 lbs., or dogs less than 6 months of age. Fresh drinking water should always be available. ATTENTION: As with any edible product, monitor your dog to ensure the treat is adequately chewed. Gulping any item can be harmful or even fatal to a dog. New Zealand green mussel is a shellfish and will impart a naturally occurring fish aroma. It also might cause allergic reactions in humans.

Why did you change the original "daily" joint care bars? We were faithful users. Our giant breed dog looked forward to his daily bar each morning. We called them his green biscuits ;). We felt the investment of approximately $45 a month for his Joint care would be worthwhile. He loved taking them and these breeds only live appx 8 years. We were looking forward to supporting his joint health with your superior product. With the cost of these new joint care & dental bars it will now be appx $100 monthly.

Please bring back the original product and support your loyal customers.

I was a faithful buyer of the previous version of Hip and Joint care (without the dental chew added in). My dog loved playing hide and seek with the pieces of the cut up bar. Every night it was her favorite activity and she would beg incessantly before bedtime. We would cut one in half and use it for two nights. With this toothbrush shaped one and the new price that tradition is over. My math tells me that if each 'brush' cannot be cut then it would cost me $75-100 a month to treat my dog. If I include her food in the cost......that is more than I pay for food for each person living here. I honestly cannot fathom there is so much improvement that they need to triple the price. Ridiculous!! $12 for 4 treats! They lost me as a customer.

Greenies made a business move that's good for their bottom line but bad for you the consumer. I've used this product for a year and a half. My dogs loved the greenies hip and joint care. You see, this product was once exclusively for hip and joint care and not additionally a dental chew. You could buy a box of 28 joint care treats for around $30. Now they want $24 for 12 treats but try to make you forget that for the same amount you previously bought, you'd have to pay $60 by incorporating a dental chew aspect. Greenies joint care sticks were products of the year and worked great for dogs. It was rare to find a bad review of them and I always had trouble finding them because of the high demand. Apparently some MBA decided that Greenies bottom line is far more important. I've since switched to Zuke's for hip and joint care. If you want the dental chew, Greenies are a quality product but the fact that they did away with the exclusive joint care treats is crazy. It's even crazier that they think I might pay $60 to get the same 28 joint care treats they made in this new repackaged formula. Dogs with joint issues need a daily supplement. If you remember the previous quality treats, please, take a minute and let the company know what a mistake they made by discontinuing them.

My picky shepherd loves these Greenies Hip and Joint treats. Trying to him to just take a glucosamine pill was such a chore. We would hide them in cheese or a small piece of meat but he would always be able to separate them and spit out pill. We tried several types of pills, no luck. We do like the pill pockets by Greenies but they were expensive because the pill was so large it had to be split to fit. UGH!! Yes, these are a little pricey but the battle is over. Plus these are great for dental also. I am very happy to have found something that works great for him.

Dogs love them, but not worth the extra cost. The amount of Omega3s and Omega6s in these treats is negligible. (Seriously, check the pic. of the back of the bag. 0.65%?) Therefor, the extra cost for these treats is NOT worth it. If you're actually looking for something to give your dogs for joint health, go the route of fish oil (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0002ABR6E/) to add to their food, and just get the regular Greenies (which are still fantastic!).

We have 2 older (over 10), very finicky dogs. They'll walk away from a dog biscuit, peanut-butter stuffed toys, or many others. So I was sceptical they'd like this product, but the dental and joint health potential made me give it a try.

From opening the bag, I saw a totally surprising reaction. The 10 year old Sheltie started spinning in circles and standing on his hind legs- just from the SCENT of the treats. He almost NEVER gets that excited anymore. I gave him the first one, he took it off and managed to chew it up and finish it off in about 5 minutes, and he wanted another which he also devoured.

The other larger dog was less enthusiastic, but took it from my hand into the yard, and ate every bit of it as well.

The glucosamine and dental-health aspects make these a wonderful treat and apparently the taste is off the charts good because both dogs ignore any treats we ever got them before.

I give them 4/5 only because as a regular 2x a day treat for 2 goes, the expense is high, and I thought as a dental chew, they need to last longer so they chew on them longer. But still , I plan to buy more (probably a LARGER size next time), and to tell family pet owners about them.

I'm pretty sure this does nothing for my dog's teeth. I just spent about $1000 on cleaning my 5 year old dogs teeth because his breath was so bad and teeth were so yellow. I've been giving him these religiously and have changed his diet and treats for the last year. Outside of the fact that he loves these things, they do nothing to keep your dogs teeth clean. When I asked the vet what the heck was going on with this, they actually advised a better way was to brush his teeth every night (which we do now... well at least 3 times a week at a minimum) and give him something hard to chew on like a rawhide or bully sticks. Although the bull sticks are $100 for 80, we give him one a day and have been using them for the last month. He also eats the Greenies and my other doggie likes them too so we use them as treats.
