These are very durable cables built to last (as Shure earphone cables are known for (kevlar-reinforced, etc.). They connect perfectly with other RC earphones with MMCX connections. The only downside I can see in these cables is that they are a bit weighty for earphone cables, but otherwise, a solid choice.

As I suspected, the Shure replacement wires are the same great quality as the originals. I have to admit I am a little sad that I didn't choose the ones with the microphone. It would have come in handy. At any rate, this replacement unit does the job quite handily. I use my Shure earphones while I shoot trap. I listen to my music to help focus on my job. I recommend replacing your wires before buying a whole new set. I wish they explained how to disconnect the earpieces, though. It is a little tricky to get them off.

Purchased as a replacement for my SE-535 cord and works perfectly. Appreciate the shorter cord (could go even shorter with the iPod). The right earbud on the original started to drop the signal after only two weeks and it progressively deteriorated. Purchased these to determine if it was the earbud or the cord. It was the cord so avoided sending the entire product back to Shure. Very satisfied.

First impressions on my se535 jpn Ltd. *will update *
Not sure if it was just me, but from the stock cables, I experienced a massive boost in bass, which is strange, because they're cables. Maybe the sound will change if they're burned in etc, but it magnifies the white noise in the background of music playing from my phone, the sound seems a lot harsher and less round, but duller at the same time. I like the aesthetics and the fact that I can listen to these with my phone case on but it just doesn't sound up to par. Will probably replace whenever I get around to it, I'll wait to see if the sound gets any better though.

This cable is the perfect length. I used the original 64 inch cable that came with my Shure SE215 earphones (which I love, and think are the best value for the money), but always had to wind up the extra cable before putting my iPod in my pocket. This cable length works perfectly for me. I tried the Shure cable with the microphone built in but the insulation shredded within a few months, and the eBay replacement cables are even worse. The quality of this cable is awesome and should last for years.

The good: I can say the sound quality is a little bit better than the stock cable. The lower end bass seems to kick in a little bit more.

The bad: The cable is definitely thinner, and less bulkier than the stock cable. So expect this cable to be able to take less of a beating. I bought these in July '15. 3 months into it, my left ear is going out already. I suspect it's because it's just simply less durable. All my other cables for the same IEM last from a year to two. I won't be buying these again.
