This product made of nicely finished metal. The markings are not only painted but etched into the metal. It gets five stars because of how well it works. It has both standard and metric and is pretty easy to read for my older eyes. I would suggest this for hobbyist to professionals. If you work on guitars this helps setup go much faster.

A good all in one measuring tool for setting up your guitars. I am not a professional luthier, so I can't say what they use. But it's great for setting up and adjusting my guitars at home. It also looks like you know what you're doing if you let your friends see you measuring the guitar with a cool tool.

very inexpensive and does what it is suppose to do. the guage has many measurement modalities so if one does not do it for you another one will.

note: i just received a question about the product name. amazon lists it estone. on the product the product name is baroque. go figure?

This string action gauge is every bit as good as Stew-Mac, as far as I am concerned, and a LOT less expensive.

That said, BEWARE SHIPPING TIMES. These ship from China and it took about 2 weeks for me to receive mine in Georgia, USA.

Well I got one of these"Baroque" gauges from China on another site and although it does appear to be well made, it is not close to accurate at all!!!!
All of the scales are out by 5 to 15% !
I could not believe my eyes, but I doubled checked against my machinist's rule and my digital calipers and nothing was even close!

Just a pathetic piece of junk.

At least the 1 I got was....

I'm using it as a scraper as the edges were nice and sharp lol...

They seem to be of decent quality and accurate enough. I bought to replace one I had from Stew-Mac that I had misplaced and could not notice much difference. However, I have since found my other one which seems to be a slightly heavier gauge and due to shipping speeds and quality would probably stick with Stew-Mac.

It seems reasonably well made (sturdy) and gauges are easy to ready (they are etched, not just painted on).
