This decorative speaker cover is no more than a speaker thong. What exactly does it protect? The edges? The bottom of the speaker isn't even covered. Sure it fits snug, but I figured I was getting a case that I can use to keep the speaker from getting scratched. Bose needs to rethink this speaker thong. The only acceptable color I liked was this gawdy orange too. All the other colors are terrible. How about a simple black or white one? That would help.

Don't even get me started on the price!! $35 for this thing!?! It's worth five dollars TOPS. I guess I'm paying $5 more because it is leather and the rest because it says BOSE. Ridiculous.

I want to return this speaker thong and hope to god that I can find a better aftermarket case, otherwise the speaker is just as good going commando.

Unless the price drops below $20 - don't bother. You will have what I have. Buyer's remorse.

I gave the Soundlink 3 an enthusiastic five star review, and still think it is the best bluethooth portable speaker available. However, having owned the Soundlink 2, I am disappointed in the new cover. I mean, really, what does it do? Simply proctect the edges, while the SL2 version served as both a partial stand and wonderful prototector of the speaker screen. I am anxious for the aftermarket to come up with a better alternative for the SL3.

Looks nice but I was expecting it to be more padded, thus providing more protection for the very expensive Bose cargo zipped inside of it. Pretty expensive for what it is.

Case looks nice, and fits perfectly. I am sure it will offer some protection, but in my opinion it is a downgrade from the cover available for the SoundLink II. A friend of mine owns the SoundLink II, and that cover not only has a flap to protect the speaker when not in use, it also serves as a stand for the speaker.

I was a little disappointed to learn that this is the only cover available for the SoundLink III, as it is inferior to the previous model's cover/case.

I was expecting some kind of protective cover for the sound link. This does nothing. It covers the LEAST vulnerable parts of the speaker and I promptly returned it. Only get this if you care what color your speaker is. It is purely for aesthetic reasons.

Ended up returning it . We like the Bose better without it, looks wise. Feel as if it doesn't protect it very much. Expensive for what it is. They need better colors

The Bose Soundlink III is amazing. Exactly what I wanted. I will review it separately, but because I love it, I wanted to make it even nicer by buying a case for it. Other reviewers thought it would provide more physical protection than it does. It won't do that, but it does offer some protection.

That being said, the case is beautiful and enhances the unit to a large degree. It looks great wherever I place it. Beyond the feel and looks it does provide a better grip in moving it around. Less likely of the metal Soundlink III slipping out of my grip - don't want that now do we?!

A very nice quality, beautiful case and I am totally loving it.

It comes with a partial side zip up. Since the machine is too big for this cover, one cannot zip up the zipper completely and it expands the overall dimension so much that it then doesn't fit into the soft carry case I bought with it as well. So, I guess it provides a minimal protection as a sleeve, it is poorly designed and I wouldn't recommend a person buy this. It is a good idea just poorly made and poorly advertised as the function it will perform.
