It is certainly big enough, but you have to be extremely strong to turn the grip and close and seal the pot. I have another pressure cooker that you turn lid to lock shut. Try to turn this handle to screw and fasten it shut is very very difficult and even using all my strength I still have a very hard time getting it to seal. I had to repeatedly turn off pot, release any pressure, and manipulate seal then try again using every bit of strength I had. I feel they really could have designed this better. I used my old pressure cooker just about every day and find this one is a real pain in the neck. But the size does make it better than my old one.

FYI, according to the product manual, this pressure cooker only cooks at 55 kg/cm2, which is a little less than 8 psi. Standard recipes are usually set at 15 psi, which means it will take longer to cook with this pressure cooker.
Please ignore the star rating, but I didn't know where to put this information.

This product was difficult to use. It took 2 plus hours of trying to make chicken stock before I gave up. It kept leaking steam under the lid. I had downloaded the instruction manual from the manufacturers website which printed out of order with no page #'s and was hard to assemble. It clearly said to only turn the tightening knob one and a half turns. It didn't work. I kept trying other things. I was ready to return it but I went back to Amazons customer reviews. One lady said she had her husband crank down the knob and that was the answer. I was able to use it successfully. I'm grateful to that customer. There's nothing modern to recommend this product except more 'safety" features. It is the same pressure cooker from decades ago. I have been too busy to mess with it because prep time for example is the draw back. i.e. the chicken had to be chopped in 2' pieces for the stock I attempted to make and they still had to be seared to develop flavor. I will try recipes again but not around the holidays. I'm ambivalent about the electric with its low pressure poundage and uses of teflon inside the pressure cooker.

Who ever wanted a solid great pressure cooker , the magefesa 10 qt is it !
I read all the reviews from other pressure cookers , this one beats them all !
Just received it today , shiny brand new stainless steel body with many safety features , strong well designed and manufactured , real European workmanship, Top of the class !
A heavy top quality kitchen ware to last many years , easy to open this a pot you can clamp down the cover properly to get a real seal

I was replacing one I had had for 35 years. You can't fry in this one. I had gone to Amazon for a replacement
for a Chicken Fryer Pressue cooker I had received as a gift over 35 years ago. The top had gotten messed up
and I missed using. Very disappointed

We have an older version of this unit that has a round top handle rather than the three corner unit here. We bought ours at a home show at least 7 years ago.

I love my pressure cooker. It works fantastically and has never disappointed me.

It did take a while to get used to and it does take some strength to seal it properly. The key is \letting it sit and cool for at least 10 minutes to let the pressure release naturally.
