This is the best mount I have seen. I spent a lot of time looking over the various mounts and chose this one. I'm glad I did. It comes with 2 mounting brackets so you can choose a couple of locations to place the mount. Still not enough? This thing turns into a stand as well! Genius design, and it is very sturdy. I am beyond happy with this mount! My only issue is that my kitchen cabinets have a 3/4 inch lip underneath. THis did not allow me to attache the mounting bracket directly. I simply took a 3/4 inch shim to make it flush. Problem solved.

I ordered this after reading about it in time. The photographs and description are accurate. I could no difficulty clamping it to my iPad (with Otterbox case) in either the horizontal and vertical position. At first it seems that the joints were a little loose, but you can tighten each joint as needed. The stand comes with two mounting brackets to attach the stand either horizontally underneath a cabinet or vertically against a wall. I have not used either yet as I cannot decided where its the best place to mount the brackets.

One caveat in an otherwise solid product, the stand does not swivel side to side, which isn't such a concern when your just using it as a stand. However, if you were to mount the brackets and use the stand, it is going to be stuck in that orientation with the exception of up and down.

I don't have it anymore. My mom saw mine and claimed it for her own. I'm ordering a second one for myself.

UPDATE: I received a comment from the manufacturer and they correctly pointed at there is a swivel joint right at the connector that allows for some horizontal movement. Not quite as good if the swivel was in the base but still a good solid stand that you should look into.

This stand was basically made so that you can attach it in a kitchen, and use it to watch your iPad recipes as you are cooking. It inserts under the kitchen cabinet so you can view it hands free. The base is also detachable, so you can use it just as a book stand.

There is also another great possibility for this. If you are a person with a disability who can not sit all day, and need to be able to use your tablet while standing up. There are many ways you can find to attach this, with a bit or creativity, so you can read/watch while you are standing up. For that reason I endorse the product.

They also have a few other great products, including a cutting board that holds your Ipad and just a stand that will hold your ipad.

I'm going to have to return this, if there isn't a way to tighten the black hinges. The silver screws came with an allen wrench, but how are you supposed to tighten the two black hidden joints of the arm? It's can't support the weight of an iPad air without a case. Most standard cupboards have a lip to hide undercabinet lights and what not. This lip makes it impossible to get the legs into the holder. The features that keep it up off the counter are pretty much nonfunctional. In the picture you can see it just "sags".

OK, so I removed the black caps to access the screws. Another problem. The screw would not tighten at all, so I took it out to have a look. As you can see, there is damage to the screw on the right. I'm going to need new screws and some extras, if this is the quality I can expect.I guess I'll email the people you said to get the spacers from.... which do not begin to be enough to bring the product below the cabinet lip.

I just got this in, so I will admit I may be jumping the gun, but I'm not usually compelled to review something so quickly.

I have been trying to find a versatile iPad stand, mostly for watching shows/movies in bed, etc. The gooseneck stands I had seen that clip on just didn't look long enough to get from a bed rail up to viewing height, and also usually I have the ipad between my wife and I which wouldn't work well mounted to the side of the bed. There are "bean bag" type stands that will prop up an ipad, but at a low level - not good on the neck. This item looks to fill this role pretty well. It lifts the iPad up about 10" or so from the surface it's on... which is good enough for bed. In addition, the ability to hang it under a cabinet while cooking, off a wall near my workbench, desk, or heck, even in the bathroom! Super versatile!

It's extremely well made, feels very solid, and the movement mechanisms are quite maneuverable yet feel very precise. There is no droop when you let it go, etc. The mounting system is genius's... simple and very effective. I plan to buy extra mounts in my next order! Great stuff!

This could be a good product, but the problem is that the hinges that hold the different parts together eventually get loose when you use it (even if you don't use it that much), which means that once you put an ipad in, it droops down (even for an ipad air 2 which obviously is not one of the heavier of the ipad problems).

The problem however is when you want to tighten up the hinges. There are little black covers that cover the hinges, and it is easy to take them out (so far so good), but the major problem is that they use hex screws rather than much more common phillips (or flat-head ) screws. I think the hex sizes are metric, this is a bit more of a pain. Where it really gets bad is that each hinge requires different sizes on each side (and if you don't have support on both sides, the hinges just turn without tightening). Not only does each hinge require a different sizes on the two sides, but different hinges requries different size hex wrench, so this means you need 3 (or maybe 4) different size metric hex wrenches, which is a big pain.

Now this is the worst part which leads me to a 1-star review. The screws themselves seem to be made of fairly cheap soft steal which means that they are easy to strip (which I've now done) which means it is impossible to tighten the hinges any longer. This is poor design (and no, I'm not inept at this. Also note, the threads are not what stripped but the head of the hex screws themselves).

So, buyer beware!
