I am so pleased with this tripod attachment for holding pretty much any kind of smartphone! I'm very impressed with the quality of the spring-loaded gripper.

It has 2 options for how to attach it -- I went with the simpler (but hidden) way: unscrew the cable holder, then twist the gripper directly onto the tripod. I didn't mess with the ball bearing method because my tripod can angle any direction.

Works well with Iphone 6+. It is a tight fit but your phone is undoubtedly secure. My only complaint would be it seems to be somewhat limited in trying to maneuver it to a nice spot. My only suggestion would be don't place your phone directly in the middle of the grip but off set to the either side of the phone.

Used extensively on a recent to trip to Japan and the Philippines, Dec. 2014, with a Sandmarc Pole and Panavise 809 suction cup.

I have galaxy note 4 and was worried if it was gonna fit as it is a very big phone. It did! And with the case as well! The hands (of you can call them that) that hold the phone move apart but it would be good for a smaller phone as well as they hold the phone tightly.

It holds the phone in place well and the assembly of the item is common sense. I'm very happy with the product.

This works very well and would get 5 stars if it was a little larger - the jaws open wide enough, but are rather shallow and barely grip my phone in its battery case - and more substantial - the neck leading up to the ball mount is probably plenty strong, but it looks fragile, as does the ball mount itself. Still, for the price, this is a dandy gadget that allows me to shoot pictures and video on a tripod of my choosing in either portrait or landscape.

This fits my iPhone 6 Plus is thick case or thin case. Soft touch with plenty of grip. I did try removing from back and it did fit my other Garmin ball mounts. I think it is the standard 1 inch. I like the screw down to tighten angle setting. Phone does not bounce around.

Good quality & design. Holds the phone very securely. I have an IPhone 5S. Screws onto the tripod well. Able to position phone in landscape or portrait. The grip is tight but rubberized & does not scratch or mar the phone. You can keep the phone in it's case. The holder expands by spring tension. The phone can be rear or front facing. So if you are wanting to be in the pic you can see your image. But if you are behind it looking at the picture, the back of the holder is in your field of vision & you can't see the whole picture. And you can't operate the touch-screen. You will definitely need a remote. I just haven't found a remote that allows you to zoom in or out. Overall I do like it & will keep it. And I would recommend it to others.

I bought this after I bought a smartphone tripod because the included grip was terrible. This holds my 5.5" LG G4 with no problem and swallows my 4" iPhone 5. If you don't have a tripod for your smartphone and you want to step up your photography, you need a way to stabilize your phone.

This does not work well with most DSLR syle tripods as the base is usually to lage for this to fit wih a phone, but if you have a mini smartphone tripod these work great.
