I love efficiency. Previously, I've been using Dr Bronners peppermint as a bodywash, shampoo and shaving (works fantastic for shaving, after about a week of your skin adjusting to it). The good Doctor was pretty decent, but the Nivea Active 3 intrigued me. God knows, the shower and bathroom are littered with Nivea products for The Girl... and she has a skin care regime that puts a 3rd degree burn victim to shame, so she knows what works. Plus, it is less expensive than the Dr Bronners and is made in Germany (you know, the Germans make good stuff).

First off - it smells quite nice. Not too overpowering, not flowery, but not some douchey overly masculine scent (i.e. not like Axe). Second - it feels really nice. Most soaps have a sort of astringent quality that leaves rinsed flesh feel sort of dry. Dr Bronners makes you feel like the desert where nuclear weapon tests are conducted (vis-a-vis moisture). Freshly Active 3d skin feels smooth and healthy. Good stuff.

As a shampoo - same schtick. The hair (what little of it I have) is very clean, but doesn't have the astringent feel produced by most shampoos.

As a shaving cream, it is pretty good. Look - it isn't the best shaving substance of all time, but it is good enough that it is my daily shaving cream because the convenience factor is just SO high. For shaving, it is very effective and comfortable, but I find myself having to throw on an extra lather and taking one last quick pass to get the close shave I seem to like so much.

Pros:
- Subtle, great smell.
- Very clean feeling, without the dry astrigency of most soaps/body washes.
- Extremely effective cleaning.
- Toyota Prius levels of efficiency.

Could Improve:

I took a risk and bought this pack of three for the main man... and he loves it. He used to use Dr. Bronner's peppermint and/or my Dove body wash, plus our Head & Shoulders shampoo. Now, this is all he uses - for hair and body. He says this is much better on his skin than Dr. Bronner's and he loves the smell. I have it on my subscribe and save list.

I was very happy when I found this on Amazon, as it was my favorite body wash in recent memory. Bought the 3 pack which I hope will last me a while.

I use it as body wash mostly. It has a great scent, not overpowering, and it doesn't leave my skin too dry. Definitely a higher quality product. Can't wait to buy it again!

I started using Nivea 3-in-1 a few months ago when I ordered under Amazon's Subscribe and Save program. Have to say that as a guy, it's pretty great. Has a nice scent that isn't overpowering, lathers up very well (little goes a long way) and rinses clean easily. I use it as my body wash and shampoo, and although it costs a little more than "economy" or store brands of body wash, that is offset by the fact that I no longer need to purchase shampoo separately. I was initially afraid that as a shampoo it would rinse out leaving my hair feeling course or "stringy", like some body washes used as shampoo do. Not the case; rinses out well and leaves your hair smooth, as though you may have used a light conditioner, but doesn't make hair limp when it's dried. I tried to use this as a shave lotion once, and have to say that it may work in a pinch, but I wouldn't want to use it to shave on a daily basis. This product is also great for those that need to travel alot, as I do; you can fill a small travel size bottle and not have to pack multiple toiletries for different purposes.

I like it because I can use it for shampoo, shaving and body wash all in one .
I have to travel some and this eliminates three different items to carry.
You will also like the fact that it seems to have some good moisturizers in it (important in the winter months).

Sometimes a guy is simply in a hurry and needs to take a quick shower. In those instances, I really like an all-in-one body and hair wash. Nivea makes a great product and this wash is no exception. I have well water and have no problems with this product rinsing off completely. I like the smell and the clean feel I get once I'm dried off. As a shampoo, I'm really not picky, but feel this product again does a great job at cleaning my oily hair after a hard day of working outside. The reason I purchased this product was that I found it on sale through Amazon and it was cheaper than the products I typically use. I would purchase again!
