I have to say this is the best canned soup I have ever eaten. The fact that it is organic with no yucky processed stuff makes me even happier. You don't have to season this soup, at least I don't, it tastes great just heated out of the can. It flies off the organic foods shelf at my local grocery and this 12 pack is the only way to keep it in the pantry. I seldom find anything I am this happy about so try it you will love it!

I stopped purchasing other canned soups after trying various Amy's soups. Other brand soups taste too processed or salty for my liking. I usually make my soup fresh, but when I'm sick or just lazy, I'm glad I can enjoy an Amy's soup as much as my own homemade soup. Amy's Minestrone soup is my absolute favorite. The Minestrone tastes more like a homemade soup than any other canned soup I've tried - even within the Amy's product line.

Yes, it's on the salty side (most soups are), and yes, it's quite oniony.

One thing I've always missed from my pre-veg days is chicken noodle soup. This soup overall isn't exactly like the real thing (no chicken broth taste, after all), but the fake chicken chunks are so realistic in taste and texture that the first time I tried it, I had to check the ingredients to make sure it wasn't actually chicken. The noodles are the texture I would expect, just like in a can of condensed chicken noodle soup. The broth is more oniony than I would prefer, but I assume it's made that way to make up for the lack of chicken broth... and I would rather have an oniony broth than one that was too watery or too spicy/herby.

This soup immediately became one of my favorites. I mix crumbled Ritz crackers into it and, despite being a slow eater, I always end up scarfing it down in five minutes and wishing it wasn't gone already. So I'm really surprised that a few people here say it's so disgusting they had to spit it out. I'm not sure why that would be the case... unless they really hate onions, or they have a very low tolerance for vegetarian knockoff products.

So basically I think this is a fantastic soup and I'm really grateful that there's a product that fills the void of the nostalgic Campbell's chicken noodle soup from my early days. But if you're not a vegetarian or you hate onions or you don't like salty stuff, you might want to buy a single can in a local health food store to try this out before you commit to a whole case of it.

I'm a big fan of Amy's food and this is another stellar offering. The flavors are authentic and this really tastes like a restaurant quality soup, not a typical canned soup. I'm not even a big fan of soup, with the exception of a few but this one really stands out as both flavorful and healthy. It's high in fiber and iron and is relatively low in fat, especially given the exceptional taste. I've got my partner and my mother hooked on this now. I can't find it at any stores, even co-ops don't seem to offer it, so I'm happy to have discovered this gem here on Amazon. This is the second order I've placed in the past few months! I don't get tired of it.

As soon as I got this I had to try the minestrone....and it did NOT dissappoint! Initially when I purchased it I was upset that I couldn't mix and match for a set of 8, as I am trying to try the entire Amy's soup line but living in Japan it is hard and I didn't want to get a box of 32 of ONE flavor. So I took a chance, and boy did it pay off!

The lentil surprised me with the veggies in it; for some reason I thought it would be sort of plain. Glad I was wrong. There was so much flavor to both soups. I would definately reccommend this to ANYONE--even those who don't care about non-GMO (though Amy's is a non-GMO brand which is what got me trying them in the first place....now if I could just get some jamabalaya out of Amy's......) think it tastes great.

I *AM* buying this over again....next week since I have been eating a can every day at work for lunch!
