Propur has a safety related design flaw...

The top unit hole plugs are a defective design and allow contaminated water into the lower unit.

After receiving 3 replacement units I have decided that this is a widespread defect of the plug design.

Check yours. if you doubt me do this:

Pug all 4 holes. Put red food coloring in the top unit. You will soon notice a drop of red food coloring on the bottom of one or more of the plugs. This allows pathogens into the bottom unit and is a safety hazard.
