I used to work as an R&D Engineer so I know a bit about plastics and design. I purchased this two years ago for my parents but they never used it so I thought to give it a try. I Used The McColloch Steamer MC1275 for about 30 minutes before the plastic window squeegee broke. Seems odd that they would engineer an attachment out of a plastic that is subject to a torque and nearly 212 degrees Fahrenheit water. Of course people are going to apply a kind of torque to the adapter like they would any other squeegee. It worked great on the windows until the plastic that held in the rubber-like squeegee broke. Not such a good idea for windows on the inside but ok for cleaning windows on the outside provided the water has a place to go (is in run down and not cause water damage). When cleaning inside windows, I had to put down towels to catch all of the water. If ever you are shopping around, you may find value in this type of device that also has suction that can suck up the water as it would expand the capability of the steamer. I would not recommend this if you plan on doing Windows with it. Too bad too because with the proper design with the right materials, this would have work great for outside windows. I have a sense that the boiler is good. I used distilled water so the boiler would not get filled with water deposits, lime/calcium/iron etc.
The floor attachment worked well with the pad but you need to sweep the floors first really well before using the floor wand or you just push the dirt the around with the mop. The other attachments seemed ok except the plastic brushes. Those are too soft to last long and one of the bristle clumps in one of the brushes, the bristles fell out before I had to a chance to use it.
