Considering the poor quality of CD players nowadays, relative to them, this Sylvania CD player is not so poor. Would skip if I shook it around, but I was simply sitting down, so no problems there. Some fuzzy feedback, but bearable and not distracting from what I'm listening to.

Sound is flat. Player is very motion-sensitive. Skips often and easily. Hey, electronics companies; some of us like our cd's. make a decent player like the old days.

Works as expected. I'd forgotten how quickly CD players eat through batteries ( makes sure you turn it off all the way between listening sessions, as my students don't always remember to do so ), but it's no better or worse than anything else out there.

I bought this thinking that the motion sensitiveness wouldn't be a problem for me sense I would be sitting down while using it. I learned that if you move it just a bit will trigger it to skip or pause. I could have even lived with that. My biggest problem with this player was that it stopped working after the first day of use. It would only play for 3 minutes and then turn off. I called Amazon about the issue and they were willing to refund me my money since it came from a third party seller.
