They worked for what I wanted. I'd also spend far more driving to the nearest IKEA, in gas prices, than buying them here so price wasn't an issue. I was hoping by the reviews that they would be the size I needed, and they were so they get a high rating from me. They're colorful and feel very sturdy.

I took 1 star off however, because I feel the name of them is misleading. As others have stated, theses are not typical smoothie straws. They are slightly thicker than the size of bendable straws but not as large as smoothie straws. They're more along the size of typical fast-food straws. I've included a photo. The yellow is the straw from this order and the orange straw is a typical smoothie straw (which I found at my local grocery store). It's nearly twice as wide and a slight bit longer. That said they served to be the perfect size for my father who has issues drinking out of the thinner "regular" straws.

This is a $1.49 product in the store sold for much more online (> $7). Although IKEA does market them as smoothie straws, they are smaller than ones you might get with bubble tea. Would have been satisfied with a more reasonable markup. Partially my fault for not realizing what these were. Still, buyer beware!

Straws break very easily. Seem to be cheaply made. They arent the milkshake straws...like the big ones for the Yeti cups. These are one step above a normal drinking straw. Not my thing. Wont purchase again.

There are two ways to go with milkshake/smoothie straws. You can use one with an enlarged diameter, or one with perhaps less diameter but stronger plastic. Either way will keep the straw from collapsing on you as you take a pull of your thick drink.

These straws are designed for the latter - using a stronger plastic but they are not as wide as a typical milkshake straw. I don't know if it's because the Swedes don't care for fast milkshake delivery like we Americans do, or what, but as others have noted...be aware that you aren't getting super wide straws with this product.

They do work though, and I found them most useful for children. The diameter is just right for younger kids and enables them to get the appropriate serving rate. But on the other hand, I have been frustrated with them. They just don't drink the same, and for other thick drinks or drinks with stuff in it (bubble tea, for instance) this is just a difficult straw to use. So I'm on the fence. My kids like them, but mainly because they are stuck in the milkshakes they also love. But that's really the only use where I've found these straws to excel.

Let's clarify something I wasn't able to fully realize through previous reviews before I purchased these straws: these are the exact same straws you get from Ikea for a dollar and some change. The package literally says IKEA on it.

These straws are the next size up from what you would get at any major fast food chain, but not as big as a boba straw (do not purchase these for the purpose of using it for any boba drink as the large tapioca balls will not go through the straw). Pretty much, these straws are mid-sized-- perfect for a smoothie, too big for a fountain drink (in the sense that if you wanted to use these for a regular drink the flow would be too fast; you might as well skip the straw all together), and too small for a boba with tapioca balls.

Docked one star for failing to indicate whether it is BPA free or not. Other than that, the straws serve their purpose.

Perfect for what you need it for. The straws don't collapse even with the thickest smoothies! If you wanted, you could even rinse them and use them again because they are that sturdy. I use mine for convenience and drink my smoothie on my way to work so mine usually get tossed, but they are very sturdy!
