    These boots are as beautiful as they look in the picture, however, with regret, I have to send them back because even with my jeans tucked in, I look like I'm wearing grandpa's galoshes. Wearing them with a skirt would not be an option. It's not just me being critical of my mirror image either. My husband took one look and said, "Nope. They look wrong."

    Specifics:
    - High quality leather
    -The actual "shoe" part is a PERFECT fit with adequate wiggle room for your toes.
    - As advertised, the boots are 15 inches at the top and have a sort of V of elastic at the back for even more room. Herein lies the problem, since my leg at the calf is 12 inches around.

    The reason I bought them in spite of the difference in inches, which I'd checked beforehand, was that a reviewer on Nordstrom's site said they were too small.
    The lesson? Believe Amazon reviews.

    If you've got bigger calves than mine, you are going to LOVE these. (Thank heaven for Amazon's free return policy.)

    Absolutely stunning boots, soft, quality leather! Very nice dress boots at an awesome price! I was worried about the heel height when i ordered them online-but the 3" heel is okay and they are comfortable-even for this old lady. I've got foot pain issues and want to look good-these are fine-no pain. Don't think twice-just get them! Very pleased! Also gifted a pair (black) to my much younger and active niece-I'm that impressed! I hope she likes them as much as i do!

    These are great boots. The leather is high quality and needs very little break-in time. I've worn them for hours long stretches, and i'd say 8-10 might be pushing it. but they'e very comfortable in the 6 hour range. The heel is a perfect height. Walking in them is no problem, My only complaint is that they're a teensy bit narrow. I have a relatively narrow foot, so these might not be great for wide-footed people. Overall a great pair of boots for a great price

    I love the heel & shaft height of these boots. The design is great! What I hated about them and was the only thing that made me return them was that they have a baggy ankle...if you have ankles with saddle bags these will be great for you! But if you're ankles are just thick then they might be too tight in the foot & shaft but will fit in the ankle area. Just a poor fit. :(

    These boots are comfortable, they look great and I get a lot of compliments on them, BUT... they will flat sell out on water, ice and oil. I plan on taking them to the boot repair shop I use and have them resoled and put new heals both pair. Good thing I bought them at a good price!

    The arch should be more forward than it is. The heel base seems short, causing the arch to be more near my heel, than actually lined up with my arch. I do have high arches though so that could play into it.
