I decided to try out the data cable while I was doing my 7 digital caliper roundup and was very impressed with it.

A data cable is not something I would have normally thought would be very useful, but once I started using it, I was sold. I do a lot of prototyping and CAD work and I never realized just how tortured I was inputting all of those 8 digit numbers manually until I was able to just hit a button and have the numbers inputted automatically with one click.

Pros:
~ Works with the Mitutoyo digimatic calipers
~ One Button data input. How did I live without this before?
~ No special drivers (Windows auto detects and installs its own drivers)
~ Very Simple & Easy to Use

Cons:
~ Could be smaller?

The iGaging SPC USB Cable is excellent. I have 3 of them for use in our testing lab hooked up to iGaging 2" Absolute Digital Indicators.
Set your cursor in a cell on a spreadsheet, hit the DATA button, and the numeric value is transmitted to that cell along with an <Enter> command.
Can't use Excel? It's good with any form because this works like a keyboard. It will send a string to Notepad, Word, or other program.
This is a huge time saver and problem solver. Record your SPC or calibration on a spread sheet. Check and record 36 gauge blocks in less than 5 minutes.
