In love with it its so warm and wind resistant when wearing only thing that's cold is my face and legs!
I bought this for my brother in law, as he wanted a sweatshirt just like my dad's work coat (this being it).
This sweat shirt fits great and is thoroughly warm.

Bought this for my husband for our 2nd anniversary since the 2nd theme is "cotton". This replaced his old Carhartt zip hoodie that was literally falling apart and had a busted zipper. Now he loves this one too. He likes the mesh on the inside, the fact that its rain-resistant, the pockets are "soft" on the inside, and the zipper/zipper-pull is metal instead of plastic. (He tends to destroy clothes at work). My husband is a size L, and it looked a little baggy at first but I think it was just cause it was still "new" and not broken in. Fits great now.
Hopefully this one will last several years, but when it finally goes we're buying the same thing again!

I didn't buy this on Amazon, but at Tractor Supply for the same price as Amazon after shipping (just wanted to try it on and decided to buy on the spot). I'm 6'2" and 160lbs. I tried on both the Medium and Large and while both fit fine, the medium was just a bit less baggy while still leaving room. I was after the relaxed, big-but-classy sweatshirt look and this fit the bill. The thermal lining is great because it insulates well but the material always feels dry and cool to the skin, so the sweatshirt will keep you warm when it's quite cold, but can be worn when it's 65 degrees without overheating.

This blends a clean look with durability and the ability to wear it from 20-65 degrees. Good investment.

I've had this sweatshirt for months now and I have to say it's a great go between when a jacket is too hot and a long sleeve thermal isn't enough. I'm 5'9 190 lbs with an athletic build. Having bought Carhartt stuff before I know it can run a little large. I got the sweatshirt in a medium and am definitely happy with the size. A large would have been much too big. The thermal lining is extremely warm but can also make the sweatshirt feel a little bulky. Often times I only need a T-shirt under this since it's so warm. The rain defender exterior definitely helps repel some water but it's not water proof. You don't want to be standing outside in a storm for a long period of time. This isn't a sweatshirt I would wear as a layer under a jacket. It's too bulky for that. You want to wear this as a jacket when a winter coat would be too much. I like to wear it when I'm inside on a job site but where heat might not be present. It gives me more flexibility and range of movement when working than if I had a jacket on but it still keeps me plenty warm. I've read how others say the thermal lining is scratchy and not soft. If you want soft go buy a pillow. If you want to be extremely warm while just wearing a sweatshirt then buy this.

This thermal is really good but runs a tad large. I'm 6'3, 250lbs. XXL long works most often. This XXL Reg is big but....I just got it a week ago and haven't washed it or even worn it much. That said, it does repel water...at least right out of the box. I'm in rain country in the Pacific Northwest so repellent fabric is key . Insulation on this is great. Keep in mind though this is not a windbreaker. I was in 10 mph sustained winds with 25 mph gusts and wind will go through this fabric like money goes through pockets in D.C. I gave it four stars because I really like it for the warmth, pockets (interior especially..wish it had two), and initial water repellent feature. My review lacks a star because so far it is too much fabric for an XXL Reg (especially around the gut...shoulders are fine). I work with this clothing and Carhartt is terrific but I can't work well with a lot of excess slop or slack draped over me. Also, while I get sucked in to all these manufacturer's claims that they have the Holy Grail on water resistance, I typically find that after about 7 washes you're back to basic cotton/poly fabric in the first place. If after I get to that point and this product holds up as advertised, I'll amend my rating.

Carhartt has always been known for durable outerwear, & for a zip-up hoody, this seems to be holding up pretty well. The lining does hold more warmth & it keeps you dryer in the rain with that rain defender stuff & I love the inside zipper pocket. The only problem with it that I can see, is that it seems to run slightly larger than expected, like half a size longer in the torso & sleeves, but that's about it. Not the biggest problem here when other reviews said about as much before I bought it & it might shrink down after washing & drying.

Although I wished the color had been darker (it looks more like a faded black) it is heavy-duty and warm.

I've just received my hoodie today in the mail. Very quick shipping! This review is based on my first impressions of the product. I give it 5 stars because it seems very well made and dependable. It has a very warm lining...I can see how some of the other reviewers were saying it's itchy. I tried it on with just a tshirt and I was itching everywhere where the skin was exposed to the lining. I don't think this is a bad thing as this is made for colder weather and more than likely you'll be wearing some sort of long sleeve garment underneath this. So the itch won't be a problem.

    Pros:
1.) Very warm thermal lining + in hood which is a plus for those bitterly cold days.
2.) Seems to be well made, good stitching and heavy duty pockets.
3.) Looks like the same shell as my other Carhartt hoodie...which I know repels water, even after a few washes.
4.) Sharp looking hoodie. I ordered the dark brown one, which looks really good with the black thermal lining. Of course it wouldn't be complete without the Carhartt logo on the left pocket!

    Cons:
1.) I'm a pretty big guy, I'm 6'2'' and about 250lbs so I ordered an XL. It's an XL regular and fits 95% as expected. I just wish the sleeves were a tad bit longer for me. I did see the Big and Tall version after I already payed for this one, so in that sense it's my fault for not being patient enough and looking around. Point being, if you're over 6ft tall and have a bit of a belly on ya, do yourself a favor and get the Big and Tall size. I'm not going to send this back as it's still wearable. I just have to get used to the shorter sleeves.

2.) The only other bad thing is that it's July in Ohio and it's hot as hell outside so I can't wear this thing yet.
