I've been using this nighttime ointment for a long time. It more than suits my needs for my completely dry eyes. Some may not like how thick it is, but that doesn't bother me--the cost is less than half what the major brand ointments cost. I generally buy this in bulk to save even more money.

YEAHHHHHHHHH!!! No more waking in middle night with dry eyes. Tried tOns of products THEY were waste money n time... Have only found only one other gel prior to this thats amazing but the price is a back braker! So when i found this n tried it, i heard church bells!!! Total delight only someone that has ever expericed severe dry eyes cant know the joy of going thru the night without waking up cuz your eyes are so dry it feels like dried up paper mache...Horrible feeling is over an the price was less than i pay for the alternative...

It is made from petroleum jelly (think of Vaseline). This means that it will permanently stain any fabric that it comes in contact with. If you intend to use this when going to bed at night, you will ruin your bedsheets. I looked online for ways to remove this stuff. Alcohol was mentioned, but that didn't work. Pain thinner was mentioned, so I thought about using the turpentine that I have -- but the one tiny spot I have so far is probably better than the fading that turpentine would probably cause. So I left the stain and vowed to never use this horrible product again.
