These are typical Avery quality labels with a nice-looking texture, and I was looking forward to using them. Here are my comments in no particular order:
PROs:
- Great generous 2.5" size makes these suitable for a lot of fun projects such as labeling jars, making little signs (such as shown on the product envelope) or even using them as flashy address labels.
- Particularly love the texture of these labels - gives them a nice upscale feel.
- The labels are easy to remove from the sheet and stick well.
CONs:
- The template for these labels is only available for online designing and printing. It is not included in the downloadable Avery software for MS Office. I like to work on my projects offline and not having that option available (for no good reason) is a negative for me. For one: When the internet is down, so is my project.
- I also wasn't too fond of the ready-made design choices offered. They are all on the cute-sy side, even the design template that was tagged "Legal/Government" is nothing I'd personally use for that purpose...
- I am fairly computer-literate and have done my share of rather complex computer-aided projects over the years. But the result I got using the online Avery template with a ready-made Avery design left something to be desired. The top row of my printed labels was off, i.e. the design did not extend all the way to the top as it was supposed to. The center row printed fine, the bottom row had the same problem as the top row, only that it was now the bottom of the label to which the design did not extend to all the way. In effect I got three good labels from printing one sheet with nine labels - not a great yield by a long shot. Very impressed with this product. You give cute labels to a Graphic Designer and she is in HEAVEN! Die-Cut labels with cute little scallop edges make for an impressive sticker/label for any product or event. I had fun with these, they were easy to use - I need a million of them!
I used them to label my jars, I fill them with a lotion/bath scrub that I give away during the holidays. They adhesed to the top of the jar with no problem and with the edge to edge printing (you do not need edge printing via the printer) they popped out with out any issues and looked VERY professional.
I designed the image within Adobe - and then I saved it as a JPG - I then went to Avery.com/print and used their template to set up the design - then I printed directly from that interface. JUST REMEMBER DO NOT HIT FIT TO PAGE!!! Which is default with my printer - that was my only issue. Wish they would have had a little like disclaimer on the site. You print directly through the website and perfect little labels.

I have a website where I sell handmade things. I also do some craft fairs and conventions as well. I thought these labels would be a great addition to packaging up my sales while adding a little advertising for repeat customers. I started out on the Avery website and downloaded the Design and Print for PC. That was very easy, it took about 10 minutes to download and install the program. The program is very user friendly. It was super easy for me to add my own images from my computer and then add some text. You also have the option to save your design to your online account or to your computer. I sent my design to my computer and they printed out beautillent quality. They are super sticky as well and stay in place on my packages. The pearlized finish is very nice as well.fully.
