Directions
Apply 1 stroke of color down the middle of the nail, add additional strokes until the nail is completely covered with color. Add a second coat if desired. Easily removable with ordinary nail polish remover.

Let me start out by saying that I have 50+ nail polishes. I love nail polish. However, it's frustrating when it chips after just a few hours or a day. My nails are relatively frail and chip if I wear nail polish too long. Boo! What's a girl to do? Well, I've heard good things about gel nail polish for its anti-chip but didn't want to invest a large amount of money upfront for a light curing system.

So when I found this "gel alternative" nailpolish in the beauty aisle I decided to give it a try for two reasons: 1, relatively low cost. 2, The color was just what I was looking for. Rotund Raspberry is a beautiful pinkish cool-toned maroon. Anyway, this impulse buy turned out to be the best nail polish purchase I've ever made. It's on par with my first time using Seche Vite---it's a complete game changer. This nail polish refuses to quit!

I have been wearing the same coat+top coat for a week now and chipping is barely starting. (I am a student but also work a job that is hard on my nails.) The color darkened due to the SV topcoat I think, I haven't tried wearing it without but I'm sure it would be fine without. But the most impressive thing to me is that my nails are not splitting or chipping.

They are actually longer and stronger after wearing this polish. If you told me nail polish can be protective to nails I wouldn't believe you but I found out otherwise. So in summary, this is the best polish I've bought in a long time.

Covergirl, please expand your XL Gel color selection to include black, white, neutrals, neons, pastels, glitters, seasonals, metallics, I will buy them all.

Dry time: 5/5, it's an opaque formula but it's not too thick. Dries quickly for what it is.
Amount of Chipping: 5/5. Almost no chipping all week.Read more ›
