I'm giving 3 stars because the build of the mount is solid, but the knob itself is flimsy and loose and floppy. I ordered it despite the other poor reviews taking a chance because I couldn't really find anything else I liked. I mounted on the steering wheel using the included rubber bushing and was able to get it tight on my wheel, but there isn't a lot of room for adjustment in the design. The aluminum? ring is solid as can be, no complaints there, as long as the screw stays tight (if not add some lock tight probably). One thing about the mount design is there isn't nuts or bolts sticking down to catch on clothes or your hands like some two piece mounts that use bolts to hold it on (but on the plus side those are more flexible for different sized wheel applications).

My complaint would be the steering ball itself. No matter how tight you mount the apparatus there is a lot of play and slop in the ball. It is not of substantial build like the mounting ring. And there is a little nut deal near the base of the wheel that i have no idea what it does or what purpose it serves. No instructions were included.

If they spent more money on the steering ball and less on fancy packaging with silk lining then we might have a good product. The "carbon fiber" look does look nice with my interior.

If the wheel flies off in my hand like it feels like it might I will downgrade this rating later.

I don't like leaving bad reviews but in this case and because of the nature of the product, I'm compelled to leave a note. This is a poor quality product - my lawn mower knob is constructed better. The knob has a lot of play in it and difficult to steer with it. At one point and because of the loose tumbler design my hand slipped while making a turn. Thankfully the street was empty! I wish I could add a video to show you more than just a picture of what I'm talking about.

To the manufacturer: Take my remarks and Make a better product. I don't care that it costs more for me. I'm off to purchase another knob and hopefully the more expensive ones are better quality.

The price is right but there is no bearings on the knob so it's a litte rough. I put some grease in there and that helped. Again, it's good for its price.

IMHO it is a piece of crap.
One screw and hinge makes it impossible to get a good fit on the steering wheel.
The tolerances on the swivel knob stem are so low it moves an annoying amount!
