I have a K&M stand that I use for gigs. Comparing that to this stand is like comparing an old economy car to a luxury european car.

The K&M is a tank and I didn't want to have to be taking it band fourth from my house to practice so I decided to try and find an inexpensive but still durable stand to keep at practice. This one is exactly what I was looking for.

Overall quality is there in that it doesn't FEEL cheap. I doubt it can stand up to the regular wear/tear that the K&M's we have seem to just shrug off but I didn't really need that for something that just sits there permanently.

You'll need to get a mic clip for this stand as it doesn't come with one. If you're looking at this stand to supplement another one you primarily use then I also assume you are looking for an inexpensive but decent quality mic clip. I am using the "On stage" brand MY200 spring loaded clip and it feels solidly built to handle virtually all the major vocal mics from Sure, Sennheiser, EV and AKG.

Pro tip: if you are tired of parts coming unscrewed, put a dab of blue loctite on the threads and it will glue it into place. You'll still be able to remove it if you use enough force but twisting the stand to set it up and take it down will no longer loosen unwanted parts from coming unscrewed.

It's height and boom length are good. It feels very flimsy to me. It would tilt by a slight push to any direction. The knob on the bottom keeps spinning, instead of tighten and stops. I bought it for sound calibration in my home theater that I'm not doing every day. Also, the mic I use for that is very light. Otherwise, it would have gone back. All in all, it is OK.

Well made stands. Reviewers are correct about not getting them back in the bag without breaking them down. Who cares? Use the bag for something else. I'm using them at church and they do the job. Comes with cable clips on the horizontal and vertical bars.

One of the metal tabs that pulls he zipper was missing. Mic stands are not the best. You have to take the mic clips off to store the stands in the bag. The people who designed this never played a gig in their life.

The only complaint I have is that the base of this mic stand is not heavy enough. That's easily corrected though. And the trade off is that it is light, folds up nice and easy, but seems pretty durable. It's also pretty easily adjustable.

It's a good stand and feels just as durable as the stands I used in my studio music recording class at my college, but I purchased this one under the impression that it came with a microphone clip, as answered in one of the customer questions.

It did not come with a mic clip. It does have 2 cable clips to hold your mic cable close to the stand, but nothing was provided for securing the microphone.

As far as the stand goes. It's great if you want something on a budget.

made its' money back tenfold in the first gig, yet, didn't last a month before it started falling apart. Every imaginable piece started falling off one by one during transport, stripped threading(due to being plastic), cheapy mic stand. if they would have stuck to all metal materials and stronger adhesives would have been a 5 star stand.

Haven't had these long but they are nicer than the on-stage brand mic stands I bought a few years ago. The bag is a handy addition. I just needed a few more stands and these will work just fine. They'll see home use and some gigging so I'll see how they hold up. For the price I'm not sure what else you could expect. With that in mind I'm rating 4 stars.
