This is a nice product and I love the size. It performs well as a label as do all of Avery products. However, there are no templates in MSWord or Wordperfect for this label. I downloaded the Avery software update and there is still no template. The Avery website says that this label is compatible with products 22845 and 22929 - no templates. So your options are to create and print the labels on Avery.com or to create your own label. MSWord does not allow for measurement fine-tuning in the custom label so it takes a bit of trial and error by moving the margins. For example - this label is 7.85 x 1.75 and Word will let you make it 7.8 or 7.9 by 1.7 or 1.8. This issue is not exactly a deal killer, but it makes using the labels cumbersome and takes extra time. We have the technology - how about creating a template Avery???

I have a website where I sell handmade things. I also do some craft fairs and conventions as well. I thought these labels would be a great addition to packaging up my sales while adding a little advertising for repeat customers. I started out on the Avery website and downloaded the Design and Print for PC. That was very easy, it took about 10 minutes to download and install the program. The program is very user friendly. It was super easy for me to add my own images from my computer and then add some text. You also have the option to save your design to your online account or to your computer. I sent my design to my computer and they printed out beautillent quality. They are super sticky as well and stay in place on my packages. The pearlized finish is very nice as well.fully. The stickers themselves are very thick and excellent quality.

There's no template to download. To me that's a bummer- it wouldn't be that big a deal to create one since the product advertising says free templates. There's nothing that matches the number- 082187, though there are 2 compatible templates that you can use- IF you have Internet access and the ability to access the Avery website. The labels themselves though say to use number 8217 and then a specific template comes up - you just can't download it, You have to customize it on their site.
Personally I'd rather just use my own graphics software for the complete thing, but it is possible to go ahead and design your stuff in your graphics software, then import it, so that makes it quite usable. You can save your projects in your account there.

The label designs that you can pick from IF you choose to use what they have on the site are fairly nice looking, but very generic, and there's nothing that's spooky or creepy, which is what I wanted. I picked a beach theme label and then just removed all the elements. Then I uploaded the graphics that I had created. The site software is fairly standard and easy to use.

The labels themselves are nice looking - they have a fine texture to them that reminds me of white linen. There are 5 per sheet.
They are 7 17/20 x 1 3/4. They peel off once printed and dried, and you can stick them to ...whatever. The glue on the back is about like any tape might be.

Like most all Avery labels, these are high quality. The labels are flat white, with some texture to the print surface. Don't waste time looking for a template, you won't find one, or a compatible through the normal means, like looking online at Avery. Not to worry, the Free online Avery "Design & Print Online", that can be found at the Avery website has these labels in their system and allows you to create your design online and print them.

I could be wrong, but I think these labels and a few other new ones that Avery offers are a tactful way to spark use of their online software. I'd rather make my own choice of the software I wish to use and this label package makes this choice more difficult. If you don't mind using Avery's online software these labels are great if you need something this size.

Speaking of size, these are great bottle labels and this is the use I wanted. We are getting ready for my sister's wedding and we are using these to customize the wine bottles with their names, date and theme design. They print perfectly from my Canon Image Class color laser printer, using the multi-paper feeder.

But, Avery, why do you not allow for a blank template? This was frustrating, as I use Avery products for all sorts of labels for my business and so far all have them have blank and predesigned labels. Because I have my own branding and logo designs, I want to have only that on what I print for packages, etc.

Avery products in general have been excellent. These wraparound labels are perfect for almost anything you can think of (I use them on my shopping bags) and their texture adds to the quality. I've not had a problem with them peeling off.

But again, be prepared for having to use one of their predesigned labels.

Avery labels are always dependable, and the textured finish on this label is enough to feel elegant, yet not too much to disrupt the printing process. They print clean to the edge, and with a little patience and ingenuity the Avery Online Design and Print, you can create some nice solutions to your labeling needs. This size has been handy for making quick spine labels for large binders and for making large box labels that can actually be read from a few feet away. Definitely quality labels.
