Spin Master... Please quit rushing to get these toys out before putting some thought and effort into them. I started to play this game with my son and the directions lack major details. For one the directions state, "When you come to a shortcut, check to see if you have the badge tile shown on the shortcut. If you do, you get to hop on the pup's vehicle and take a quick shortcut." The shortcuts with badge images are on white tiles and there are no white tiles on the spinner. My son and I played and realized we never landed on any shortcut spaces for this reason. So I thought hmmm... let me read the directions to see what the problem is. I found no answers. I looked at the top middle part of the game board and saw a white tile with an orange badge (Zuma) in between a purple tile and red tile. So if the spinner does not have a white tile then when do you get to use the shortcut? Do you use it when landing on purple or red? The directions just say if you land on a shortcut, yet they provide you with a spinner that lands on colors. -As far as collecting badges go... let's judt say the shortcut issue was corrected. I had collected three green badges. Would I discard it after taking a shortcut? Is there a need to keep collecting the same color badge if you don't discard? I guess I could be preveting the other player from getting green by doing so, but once again there are no details in the instructions. Then comes the end of the game: Most games such as "Don't Wake Daddy" has the finish line ending in a space that had every color. This game has a purple tile (skye) as the finish line. Tge directions say that when you reach the finish line you end. Let's say I am the red tile before this last purple tile. Do I just keep spinning until I finally get purple? There are no places to move except purple.Read more ›

Crappy version of candyland without the counting. Just move to the color they you spin. First to the finish line wins. The board is so small and the board pieces don't even fit inside each space. I feel ripped off. My son loves paw patrol but he's not learning anything from this game. He's a four year who already knows his colors and can count to 30. It might last a week before he's bored of it. $9.99 at target and toysrus.

This is a poorly thought out game, too simple to keep any kid's attention for more than a few games. The shields are a gimmick that have virtually no impact on the game. The instructions have logic gaps. They weren't even trying. Just slapped the paw patrol name on there and spent 5 minutes coming up with a game concept. Save your money and buy some crayons or something.

My daughter loves to play games and she loves Paw Patrol so we thought this game was a sure thing. The whole concept of the game doesn't make sense and for kids ages 4+ there is quite a lot involved. The instructions were not helpful. I mean we understand the basic spin and move thing but the badges and sliding isn't very clear.

I bought this for my paw-patrol obsessed nephew as a 5th birthday gift and while he was initially excited, the game proved too simple for him. He's never been to preschool or even formal daycare at all and I'm not sure if he had played many board games at all. However, I expected the game to at least include basic counting, which it does not. I thought it was copied from the basic idea of candy land where you draw a card that has one or two squares so you at least get a tiny bit o counting. In this, you just spin and then go to the next space with that color. Plus, unlike Candy Land there arne't any "extras" like getting stuck or getting a special advancement boost except for one special spot where if you have a powerup (which are super easy to gather) then you get to use the boost up one time per game. The board is really short so it only takes a handful of spins for someone to finish. It might be okay for a 2 or newly-3 year old who hadn't played a single game before and needed to grasp the very basics but it was so boring for my 5 year old nephew that we played it once and he's never asked about it since other than playing with the figure that comes included.

My 3 year old enjoys this game. It is a short game, so I can play with him even if I am pressed for time. He enjoys trying to collect all the different badges by the end of the game. Also good for learning to count the squares to move, matching colors, and taking turns. It isn't a long game, so it keeps his attention.

This had real potential to be a cute, fun game for little kids. But the reality is that there just isn't much to it - which can be good or bad depending on the age & intelligence of the child you buy it for. Unless you get the chance to buy it cheaply as I did (on sale for less than $5), it's not worth it.

Pros:
- The game pieces & board are more durable than I expected.
- Pictures are accurate to the TV show
- Not too complicated for little ones
- Doesn't feature candy, chocolate, or anything else you might not want your kids being reminded about

Cons:
- Board is much too small. The pieces barely fit on the squares!
- A very short game. While this can be good for young children, it also means it's over QUICKLY. If the board had been twice the size it was, with squares a little larger, it would make for a longer path & a longer, better game.
- Directions are very basic & leave out a lot of scenarios that can happen in the game. When in doubt, we've just made up our own rules & continued to follow those same rules that we made.
