Thank you for such a wonderful gift to the ET community!

All I can say is, excellent engineering! I'm completely at a loss - I really never knew such technology existed in this form factor. It really is a truly amazing piece of machinery. My wife and I still giggle watching it do it's thing to keep my peas onboard...

I mean, I ate a bowl of cereal this morning for the first time in years! Mornings are always the worst for me, until my meds kick-in, so I'd given up trying to fight with breakfast cereal - my wife and I sat and ate together and giggled about the little robot in my hand.

By the way, I can't wait for some other attachments - we already have a wishlist!

Thank your whole team for us - you guys really are geniuses!

The Liftware Anti-tremor Stabilizing Spoon is a God-send! No longer am I "wearing my meals". The design is modern, compact and easy to hold. The spoon detaches from the handle for easy cleaning. A small bag is included which makes the spoon easy to pack in a purse or, case. As a social person, my Essential tremors have made eating a frustrating challenge and sometimes embarrassing. This device has made me feel more confident about eating in public around friends and business associates. I can't wait for the fork and soup spoon to be available and look forward to what the "dream team" develops for us in the future.

Lift Labs, THANK YOU for developing such a wonderful device! You are changing lives with your products. I ordered this as a gift for my father who is a 79 yr old with Parkinsons. My dad has been struggling in recent years with tremors while eating and has accepted that this is part of the disease--until now. He received his Liftware device yesterday, charged it last night, and enjoyed his first meal using his Liftware spoon. He called with rave reviews, saying his "nifty Liftware spoon" made all the difference. I teared up at the joy in his voice. He was also very impressed with the quality of the device. Again thanks, and keep up the great work, Lift Labs!

What a great gadget. This makes mealtimes much less of an ordeal, and speeds up the process, making for less cold dinners. When it became available in Australia, it only took a few days to arrive, carefully packed in perfect condition. Worth every cent. Waiting for the soup spoon and fork. Quite unobtrusive at the table. Many thanks to these clever people.

I purchased this for a close family friend and uncle in our community, who has Parkinson's disease. He was resorting to being fed by caregivers, losing a little bit of independence.

What comes in the box?

Handle
Charger/AC adapter
Spoon

Operation

Once charged, this has the capacity to work for a few hours. The attachments come separately and are additional cost to the the starter kit. It comes with a spoon so I also bought him a fork attachment. The handle sits onto a charging dock. The utensils, minus the grip, can be washed. Since the grip is electronic, it is not immersible. The different attachments snap on and snap off. The attachment is stable and secure. The grip is larger than an average spoon, akin to a Good Grips tool. The grip is smooth, though there aren't any issues with gripping or controlling it.

The grip compensates for tremors that the user may have. It takes practice for the user to adapt to how to use this. With me mimicking a slight, moderate, or severe tremor, at a repeatable pace, it definitely decreases or compensates for the movements of the attached utensil. I gave it to my uncle to try. He ate a bowl of ice cream with it. I was impressed. It brought tears to my eyes, since it will give him a bit more freedom to cope with his disease. As a follow up, I asked him how it was working out for him, a week later, and he said it was helping a great deal.

To me, the device was priceless in giving my uncle a new found freedom.

I do wish there were expanded sets, such as a two utensil attachment (such as fork and separate spoon) kit. Hopefully it will come down in price so more can get to use it.

I care for someone who has Parkinsons and because of eating difficulties had been losing weight. He didn't have any spare weight to start with. Since getting the Lift lab spoon, mealtime has become more pleasant for him, less of an ordeal, and he feels more comfortable among his fellow Franciscan brothers at mealtime. He is eating better because; 1) it is easier, and 2) it takes him less time to eat. All of the above things are important medically, but the self-esteem that has been restored to him is priceless! He again feels more like a part of the community, not an exception to it. May God bless you for adapting this technology to those who had little/no help with something so basic as eating. Continue your great work and I look forward to the other utensils .....

This is definitely a MUST HAVE for anyone dealing with tremors! For once I can eat my meals and not wear them. I had Chinese food yesterday and as usual with a regular spoon, it went all over unless I used two hands to hold it. Today I brought the spoon to work and am now eating my leftovers with one hand and not one piece falling all over the place. This is absolutely incredible. I can eat soup finally too!

This is the best invention ever! Can't wait for the fork. I am so grateful to you all for creating this and making my life just one step easier.
