These are fantastic shears. They are longer than they apprear in the photo. IMHO. I love the fact that they are non stick. I have other non stick scissors but they are not as nice a quality as these. And I adore the length of the blade. I have larger hands for a woman and I find the handles comfortable; I know the handles are a source of complaint for some others, however I simply adore these. Purchasing a second pair to keep at my other work station. I have not yet used these for dress making however I'm positive I will love them. They have the length, the sharpness but not the weight of my good dressmakers shears and as I age, I find that my older heavier tools wear on my wrists more and more ... So I appreciate the lighter weight of newer materials that still have good construction. I don't write many reviews, but I like these so much I felt compelled to leave my opinion.

YES! I finally was able to get the longer version of my Tim Holts craft scissors. The Tim Holtz scissors can cut through just about anything a crafter can throw at them and come back for more. They are non stick and live up to that easily mind you these are not the scissors you will be fussy cutting with or making a smooth straight line as they are serrated on the edge but want to cut chipboard, done...fabric, done...thin model airplane type basswood or wood veneers, done ...thin metals such as soda cans...done....book board, done...lets see any other craft scissors get those last two.

I bought these scissors to cut card stock for English Paper Piecing. I need to be very precise. These do the job. I just wish they came in a mid range size. I have the small ones, which were too small, but are great for detail work. I find myself switching between the 2 pairs, both of which cut great. I've had the smaller pair for many years and they're still sharp so I imagine this larger pair will last just as long.

Cuts through chipboard and soda cans like a breeze so you can cut out materials for those die cuts or for packaging and creating. I've had the smaller Tonic scissors and am impressed with these scissors.

Not very sturdy. Not strong enough to cut thicker things. However they are non-stick, so that's a bonus.

They're good enough scissors, but I don't care for the micro serrated edge because you can see the serration on the paper after it's been cut. The kush grip is odd, too. I don't much like how squishy it feels. Not sure I would have spent this much money on these if I had tried them before I bought them.

Even though I love Tim Holtz products, this is the first one of his products I don't like. What I don't like in particular are the handles. These are my least favorite scissors out of the many pairs that I have and have only used them less than a handful of times because of the way they feel.

Have been using these scissors ever since they arrived. The non-stick feature is so handy and they cut through everything. This tool is a wonderful addition to my craft supplies.
