Got this to get rid of worms in my brother's dog. He originally gave him worm medication that only treated one type of worm and after three weeks he wasn't any better. So I bought this because it treated 4 different types of worms for dogs and we weren't sure which one he had. Literally after the first dose he started to gain weight back. This dewormer is designed to give it to the dog three days in a row. After day five he was back to his happy and jumpy self and gained all of his weight back. After two weeks you couldn't even tell he was sick. I will definitely buy this again for the little dog. We also have a husky. I would not buy this for him because it would be very expensive. This was $20 for two packs a total of 6 grams. This was enough for the little dog we have. We had to give him 2 grams per day for three days for his weight. The husky would need two to three boxes per day for three days. You can see how that can add up pretty quickly. I would suggest making sure you know how much your dog weighs and doing all of the math BEFORE purchasing.

I found out from my vet that the most common type of tapeworm transmitted by fleas is not actually treated by this. Sort of disappointing to see that labeled very small on the box. Also, my puppy could not keep this down.

If you choose to purchase this without consulting a veterinarian, make sure you calculate the proper amount of grams for your dog's weight. My dog has a tendency to have a sensitive stomach but he had diarrhea for nearly a week. Finally, I saw roundworms in his stool so I treated my dog with this medication. It has the same active ingredient as Panacur but at a lower price. He ate his food with the powder in it so I guess it doesn't taste too bad. He's back to normal with solid poo again so it's effective.

I bought this brand on 2 seperate occasions because the first time it did not work when I bought it on amazon. So then I bought it from Petsmart and again used as directed and my dogs worms are alive and thriving but my dog is almost skin and bones. It cost $30 in Petsmart. It did not do the job!
