    Got these as a gift. It was hard to find a pair of boots for my size 12 foot that was wide and large enough for circulation with thick wool socks, and not feel like I was wearing two Volkswagen Beetles on my feet. I've only worn them for about 1.5 miles walking the dog but no water got in and my feet were very warm with a regular pair of socks. The sewn in tag on the tongue digs into you bare shin but I'm sure I put long socks on that won't be an issue. I'll update after we get a cold weekend and I wear them hunting.

    This boot is lighter than the heavy leather snow and hunting boots, but still rugged
    enough to last for years and years. It is a bit stiff and needs a few days to a week
    to break it in. I like it for hiking with my dog, it's not going to get marked up like
    leather on trails or in the woods.
