I think we have all the current (2014-15) models of helicopters from Playmobil and a few of the older ones. My nearly 3 year old has been bananas for all things chopper since about age 1. Playmobil helicopters allow him to be rough with them. He throws them, takes them in the bath, on the playground, sleeps with them. He loves that he can take apart the rotors and the skids (we help him with this). The fire bucket here works fairly well--just pull the little lever up and the water comes out in a moderate flow. He is a bit of a purist so prefers his whirlybirds sans people and accessories, so the bucket remains mostly detached. This model body/fuselage is exactly the same one as the police helicopter (the one without the searchlight). Just different colors.

My son got this helicopter on Christmas morning along with the playmobil firehouse, firetruck, and ambulance. This might be his favorite out of the 4. It has a water tank/basket thing that holds water and dumps it when you pull the lever. I was skeptical at how well that would really work, but I am really impressed! Overall just a high quality toy and exceeded my expectations for the price. I had lots of playmobil toys growing up and this is one of the coolest ones I've ever seen, highly recommend!

Great toy, my son has had endless hours of fun with it! Good detail, freely spinning rotors. The people are sometimes a little hard to get positioned in place, but then they don't fall out. The microphone falls out sometimes, but a dab of glue would help a lot. We are huge fans of Playmobil, the thoughtful details and opportunity for imaginative play are amazing!

We were worried that this toy would be cheap or low quality. We have been very pleased. It can take some abuse and be fine. Our little guy sure loves it! It does come in lots of pieces that require assembly. We just made putting it together part of the fun.
