This peel and stick "Dual Lock-Sj3560" Reclosable Fastener is outstanding, and head and shoulders above even 'heavy duty' Velcro. It is virtually impervious to heat! No wonder many states send small strips of this to fasten their E-Z Pass toll road transponders to the windshield. I've used Velcro to hold down a power cord for a navigation unit and, after a short time, it got gooey and slid out of place from the heat in the car. Get this 3m Dual Lock Sj3560. You'll be glad you did.

Used it to attach a wall mounted item in my shower. The adhesive started to fail only after more than several years. Cut identical lengths (if you need a half-foot length for a surface, you need to buy a foot of the product) and attach one piece to the mounting surface and the other to the item to be mounted. The product is designed to mate with itself. Then wait for 72 hours for the adhesive to cure before hanging the object.

Sorry to say I'm very disappointed with this SJ3560 fastener. It has failed in two different applications: (1) outdoors, to attach sun-screen to wood-framing over west-facing windows; and (2) to mount a large (but less than 7 lb) picture with a plastic frame on an inside wall.

In the first application, the painted wood trim was cleaned thoroughly and three 6-inch strips were placed evenly across a 52-inch span (one in each corner, and one in the middle). Although the information clearly states the adhesive will withstand up to 200° temps, the adhesive failed on all three strips and the screen fell down. This was not a weight issue as the screening was very light.

In the second application, I did not want to try and place mounting hooks or screws into the plastic frame of the picture for fear of cracking the frame. Again, three 6-inch strips were placed evenly across a 60-inch span and, again, the adhesive completely failed (on painted drywall) and the picture fell. I repeat, this was not a weight issue.

Clearly the adhesive does not withstand 200° heat as it never reached that either outside or inside my house! It simply does not hold up anything.

The dual lock is considerably better than plain-old Velcro. I want to emphasize it was not the "click-lock" feature that failed ... it was the adhesive. I could happily find a billion uses for this fastener if the adhesive wasn't such crap.

This stuff rules over entire land of velcro-like things. I use it to hang blackout blinds that weigh several pounds each. I am able to take them down when I am not on a night shift rotation, which is what I really like. There is no opposite sides like with velcro, it simply attaches to itself. You can cut to whatever dimensions you need with this roll.

I thought I was getting 6 feet of fasteners, which I guess I did-- it's a single-sided piece of the dual-lock fastener, 6 feet long. But since you need two pieces of dual-lock fastener to lock together, you really have three feet of fastener. This isn't like Velcro, where the two sides are different. Both sides are the same in the dual-lock system. I just thought I was getting a two-sided six-foot length. Now that I read the description I think I got what I paid for.

This is really great stuff by the way. This is what Velcro dreams of being. Great self-stick adhesive, super-strong locking/holding power, but easily taken apart. Not sure that I'll ever get the adhesive off but that's OK.

This is one of the best things I have found since sliced tomatoes. It is much better and more useful than regular Velcro® because it attachés to itself.
It is very strong, yet easily removed when needed.

I am already using it on my driving simulator to attach my cellphone (that I use as automotive dashboard with the proper apps) and I'll be testing how well it works to hold my phone in my real car. Every cellphone support I have ever tried broke in short order and had to be mounted on the vents, making at least one unusable. This can be mounted anywhere and its very strong glue should do the trick. I will update this review after I have a chance to use it for that purpose for a while.

We needed this 3M brand Dual Lock tape for our company Ez-Pass cars. This dual lock faster system is sort of like plastic Velcro. Instead of using the hook and loop design this is both sides are the same. The little bristles are kind of "L" or "T" shaped. This allows both pieces to stick to itself.

This tape has a fairly strong adhesive tape on the back. It has held up to a couple years of extreme heat and cold here in the Northeast. It has lasted longer than any of our cars. The reason for buying more is you only get 4 pieces when you purchase an Ez-pass. This is enough for one vehicle. However if you have say several cars or a fleet you might end up swapping out the Ez-Pass as we do. Have this already in the car is a life saver. Just make sure all your vehicles personal or business is listed on the Ez-Pass site.

This Dual Lock system by 3M works very well for the Ez-Pass if not a little over kill. I can't say if it would withstand the elements outside but it feels like a very durable product. Amazon has this 6 foot and was cheaper than other places for already cut pieces. We have scissors to cut the pieces. :-)
