    I had good luck with some Fila shoes that I bought 4 years ago, so I was open to trying some more. The price on these shoes was great, my first run in them was 10.5 miles on some pretty technical trails, and there were no issues with fit, hot spots, or pressure or rubbing. The tread on the forefoot was stiff enough to filter out sharp rocks, much better than my current New Balance trail shoes. These are surprisingly good shoes for the price.

    One of the few shoes I've found with a "rolling heel" (if that's the correct term). Most shoes have almost a 90 degree angle where the sole ends at the back of the foot. When I walk in such a shoe the heel touches the ground first on this sharp right angle and then come clomping down quickly and uncomfortably. With these shoes, in contrast, the heel touches ground on a smoothly rounded surface, resulting in much more comfortable walking since my foot then has a smoother, easier glide down to the pavement.

    Also, the shoes are a bit wider then most shoes ... typically the front part of my foot feels a bit squeezed, but not in these!

    I've worn a good number of running shoes in my time and these are amongst the best that I've had. This is especially true when considering the affordable price point these are being sold at. Normally "affordable" is synonymous with cheaply made but I have yet to see evidence of that. They were immediately comfortable with little break in time. The shoes also felt light and less bulky than others I've worn. I just finished purchasing a second pair to back this set up. Good running shoes that suit your preferences are hard to find! Glad I found mine.

    These shoes lack the support and heavy duty construction of a real trail runner. My price was very cheap ($26.83) so normally that does not buy much of a shoe, however Amazon was selling the more colorful models of red and blue for $43+. These are poorly constructed shoes and I returned them. They are not equivalent to even the lower level Saucony TR2.

    I like the colors the mesh is breathable yet keeps dust off my socks. Overall I love the shoe, it provides grew traction. The only down side (fixable) is the arch support and padding in general leaves room for complaints. For the price, I say get these and some insoles for a great experience on the trail.

    These are excellent shoes, however, they do run small, so keep that in mind when purchasing. I had to buy half a size larger than what I usually wear in order for them to fit correctly. Fila shoes are relatively inexpensive running shoes, but hold up well for being such. Mine generally last me about a year (I wear them to work each day to a job where I am constantly on my feet).

    I've been using these for just a couple of weeks, and I'm starting to have foot and ankle problems. They seem to be constructed with similar specs to other trail running shoes I've owned by other manufacturers, but for whatever reason my feet don't seem to be liking these. They were a very good price, but maybe you get what you pay for in this case.
