Pennzoil is horrible at marketing their product. Their description is so junior varsity so it is very difficult to find the specification. After researching Shell (Pennzoil's parent company) I was able to pull up the specification for this oil. I hope this helps. I will also upload a screen shot so look for the pictures.

Began applying this Pennzoil Ultra Platinum to my high-mileage SUV (over 170,000 miles) after using Mobil 1 for years. Admit that most quality synthetic motor oils may not offer significant differences between brands because daily drivers are not exposed to the extreme temperature conditions as racing vehicles and super cars. **** OBSERVATIONS AFTER 5,000 MILES AFTER SWITCHING FROM MOBIL 1: Lower RPMs at idle, Noticeable quieter engine, 5-10% better MPG (important if your vehicle requires Premium Fuel to avoid voiding warranty), and Peace of Mind that this Ultra Platinum has all the required additives for my high mileage engine (a.k.a Change it and forget it) ***** Keep in mind that most oil filters may not last the recommended long intervals (mainly because Oil Filter technology is not there yet). Using the BOSCH Distance Plus High Performance Oil Filter, my intervals are limited to 8,000 miles. So far, very satisfied with the results from switch to Pennzoil Ultra Platinum and disappointed that only Amazon carries this product, but this product justifies my Amazon PRIME membership.

This is next gen "full synthetic" oil from Pennzoil. If you were a fan of Penn Platinum or Penn Ultra as was I after having numerous oil samples done by Blackstone Labs u will not be disappointed. Im a believer after being longtime Mobil 1 & Amsoil user. These Pennzoil syn oils easily can do 10,000 mis in ANY car with a high quality oil filter such as WIX, Bosch, Mobil 1, Purolator PurOne, K&N, or Motorcraft etc My current vehicles are 13 Ford Edge Limited - 11 Ford F150 Platinum - 14 Porsche Cayenne Turbo

This is the first oil that I have used that I noticed an immeadiate difference! Motor sounds were substantially quieter and performance increased. I "noticed" smoother acceleration as well as improved fuel economy. On average, 1/2 to 1 mile per gallon on my typical route. Overall I feel it isworth the extra money, but if you check the web, You can get a $10 refund which makes it more of a Deal!

Great Oil, does what it says it does...it lubricates.
Virtually Every SN/GF-5 oil these days is meant to perform the same (min SN/GF-5 Standard) so any "benefit" the user might get will be minimal. These days honestly your car will rust up and fall apart or transmission fail, before you engine fails.
This Penzoil Ultra Plat has actually a tad worse specs then the 2011-2013 Penzoil ULTRA oil. SO I hold this against Penzoil.
Also, this oil is very hard to get anywhere else and it's overpriced for what it is.
I can go to my local Wally and pick up a jug of Mobil 1 or Penzoil Platinum for $24, so the extra $12 does not justify the price.

Finally, THE COLOR OF YOUR OIL DOES NOT EQUATE THE STATE/AGE/USEFUL LIFE OF YOUR OIL. The color means nothing, it only shows the different type of dispersant package employed by the oil.
DO NOT Judge the quality of your oil or the life of your oil by the color.
Most European oils with heavy moly content are actually darker.

Pennzoil is still the only oil, that I know of, that actually cleans the interior of your engine. The next best engine oil (Mobil I) lubricates just as well, but won't keep your engine as clean as Pennzoil. I had a 2006 BMW 325i with about 78K miles on it and a lifter started sticking.I tried using the German oil that the BMW dealer uses, which is supposed to be the best lubricant for the BMW engine. Nada. I tried Mobile I. Nada. I tried Castrol GTX. Nada. I tried Valvoline. Nada. Finally, I saw an ad on TV or in a car magazine that shows how clean an engine is at 100K miles using Pennzoil, compared to another brand and the difference was definitely visible. After just 200 miles the ticking noise from the lifter started making less noise and after a couple thousand miles, the noise was gone. Pennzoil saved me a couple grand, since I had gotten an estimate to replace all the lifters, which was around $2000.00, because there is no way they can tell which lifter is making the noise, so they just replace all of them; Then they JUST charge you $2000.00. I noticed results immediately.

My '06 Toyota Corolla engine sounds much quieter when driving around town/highway now. The startup idling RPM's have also gone down below 1000 RPM's, so it's almost whisper-quiet when running. Friends and relatives have commented on it.

Now, I can drive an extra ~45 miles on the TRIP Odometer before having to refuel compared to my conventional oil!

I'll never go back to crude base stocks in my engine's motor oil again after seeing how well Pennzoil's Ultra Platinum oil performs in my sub-compact.

It's worth buying just to extend the life and performance of your vehicle.
