Okay, so the dogs loved it and played tug of war with it for about 3 minutes. Then one got bored and the aggressive chewer took it and next thing I knew it was destroyed. I would estimate the time it took him to be less than 10 minutes. That doesn't bother me as much as it being labeled "minimal stuffing". It is definitely NOT minimally stuffed, I mean just look at the picture. Luckily I have a dog that finds it fun to just pull out the stuffing and squeaker and not actually eat it. If you have a dog who may eat stuffing then beware because there is a lot of it along with a large squeaker in a fabric baggie. Even though it was easily ripped apart by my German Shepherd Dog I would have given it another star or two if it hadn't been stuffed or actually had only a little stuffing since I should have known better than to try anything with fabric or stuffing.

These stuffed kong toys have ropes with knots through most of the body, which cuts down on the amount of stuffing & makes it stand up to a large breed puppy better as the ropes give it more strength. My two puppies ( both under two years) have enjoyed playing with theses for hours the use them for tug of war with each other, play keep away from each other & even toss around for themselves. Grey sturdy toys!

Despite my dog destroying this toy in one day by ripping the squeaker/stuffing out, the inner rope still makes this toy viable...at least you can stuff the rope back inside the hole where the sqeaker/stuffing was rather than simply throwing the toy in the trash. For the pricetag I would expect better quality fabric and seams from Kong! The only Kong toy that lasted the test of time for me was the KONG Floppy Ear Wubba dog toy.

I have an adult Siberian Husky who loves to mouth on his toys. He doesn't usually destroy plush toys, just chews and mouths without really pulling at the fabric much. He loooves chewing at the arms on this guy, I think the texture of having the fabric over the rope is what he likes so much. This is probably his favorite toy and I would definitely purchase again at the time of it's demise, whenever that may happen!

As he isn't really a heavy chewer to begin with, I cannot attest to the longevity of this plush with other dogs. I can imagine opening up the body would be pretty easy if he wanted to though.

The rope system design for a plush toy really made sense to us as first time dog owners and knowing we were getting an English lab puppy. We gave her this toy to play with in her crate and within 4 hours she managed to remove the plush portion of one of it's arms. While I understand no toy is indestructible, I expected more with a Kong brand toy. Keep in mind, at the time this occurred our pup was 14 weeks old and still had her baby teeth. We have had good results with other Kong brand toys, but in this case the fabric used on this toy was not up to what we would normally expect from Kong or what we have seen in other Kong toys. I only gave it an extra star because after our pup destroyed it we were able to pull the rope structure out and create 2 new rope toys. The rope itself is very strong and both pieces have held up well over the last week with constant chewing. We were happy it wasn't a total loss.

My dog is a very aggressive chewer, especially if there is a squeaker involved! I originally purchased this toy at a pet store, and watched my dog go crazy for it. I figured this toy wouldn't make it through the day, surely he would have it gutted in no time. To my surprise, it stood up to some serious chewing for a few days before succumbing to its injuries. My favorite part(s) of this toy are that 1- it has minimal stuffing, so that means minimal clean up. 2- when the outer toy is destroyed, it becomes a whole new rope toy!
We have a great time with these toys, and I will only buy them through Amazon now! I like to buy 5 or so at a time, so I always have a back up!

The construction of the Kong Knots is top-notch and will stand up to the most violent gnawing. The squeaker (when it works) is cleverly hidden behind or maybe between the sturdy ropes, and resists puncture simply by being difficult to get more than one tooth on! The colors are very bright and the fur is plush. The only vulnerable part of these toys are the soft eyes and noses, being sturdy felt, but even that is stronger and longer lasting than any other toy I've found. The body is mostly sturdy rope with minimal stuffing, and the seams are strong and hidden. My dog will try to snap it's neck, rip it limb from limb, and when all else fails, fall asleep cuddling it.
