Directions
For puppies: Up to 10 lb … 1 1/3 to 2 cup* 10-20 lb … 2 to 3 cups* 20-30 lb … 3 to 4 2/3 cups* 30-40 lb … 4 2/3 to 6 cups* 40-60 lb … 6 to 7 1/2 cups* 60-80 lb … 7 1/2 to 9 1/2 cups* 80-100 lb ... 9 1/2 to 11 cups* * Based on a standard 8 oz measuring cup. These feeding guidelines are suggested only. Feeding amounts may vary by breed, activity level, temperament and climate. Puppies can begin nibbling on moistened Natural Balance L.I.D. Limited Ingredient Diets Sweet Potato & Chicken Dry Dog Food before they are weaned. From six weeks to six months, feed three times a day. You may want to add a small amount of Natural Balance L.I.D. Limited Ingredient Diets Chicken and Sweet Potato Canned Dog Food for ease of feeding. The amount of canned dog food can be gradually decreased as the puppy matures. After six months, it is recommended to feed twice daily. For adult dogs: Up to 10 lb … 1/2 to 1 cup* 10-20 lb … 1 to 1 1/2 cups* 20-30 lb … 1 1/2 to 2 cups* 30-40 lb … 2 to 3 cups* 40-60 lb … 3 to 3 3/4 cups* 60-80 lb … 3 3/4 to 4 3/4 cups* 80-100 lb ... 4 3/4 to 5 1/2 cups* * Based on a standard 8 oz measuring cup. The amounts in the table are intended as guidelines only. The food intake should be adjusted according to the age, weight, breed, temperature, climate and activity level of your dog. Consult a veterinarian for specific weight recommendations. Adult dogs should be fed either once or twice per day. When you first start feeding Natural Balance L.I.D. Limited Ingredient Diets Sweet Potato & Chicken Dry Dog Food, we suggest starting with the amounts recommended in the table. Energy requirements vary with environmental conditions, temperature and activity of your dog. The amount of food should always be adjusted to suit your dog's needs. For pregnant females: A minimal increase is needed during the first 6 weeks. Increase the amount fed up to 25% during weeks 7, 8, and 9. For lactating females: Immediately after whelping, the nutritional demand increases by 50% compared to maintenance levels. Feed in 3 equal meals per day. For working dogs: Based on the work your dog will be asked to perform, the nutritional requirements will vary accordingly. As the workload increases, the demand for protein and fat increases proportionally. Dogs in hard training will generally require twice the maintenance levels. For older dogs: As your dog begins to age, his energy expenditure will decrease. Decreasing the amount of food accordingly will allow for the maintenance of proper body weight for a less active dog. FEEDING MANAGEMENT We recommend that you do not add vitamins, minerals, or any other supplements, except upon the advice of a veterinarian. When switching your dog's diet, the change should be made gradually by replacing the current food with increasing portions of Natural Balance L.I.D. Limited Ingredient Diets Sweet Potato & Chicken Dry Dog Food. The change should be completed after 5 to 7 days. The maintenance of proper body weight is most important for your dog's health. Consult your veterinarian for specific weight recommendations for your dog. Remember, fresh clean water should be available at all times!

Great food product for my dog,the natural balance brands keeps my dog healthy with non allergic items and no by fillers. Very good dog food, it's not cheap but I would never want my dog to eat anything else!

Talk about a rip off. They give you less, 13 pounds now whereas it was 15 pounds before and all at approximately $10 more. I'm sure this has something to do with Del Monte buying the company (or like they enjoy saying "merged") about a year ago. All about maximizing profits & reducing the value of the product. I wonder what the other ways Del Monte has found to increase the CEO's bonus...perhaps cheaper incrediants?

This is the perfect diet for my little guys, It doesn't upset their stomach like many combinations. I like that it doesn't have any corn, wheat or animal by-products. The fat content is low enough not to cause Pancreatitis like another top brand did in one of my guys. I think the company was sold to Del Monte a couple of years ago. I also like that it is free delivery with Prime and I don't have to order a large amouunt in order to qualify for the free delivery.

This dog food has put me to considerable effort and expense since I switched my dogs to it, and I am SO GRATEFUL!!! Their poo output has more than doubled, and since both dogs weigh less than 5 pounds and can't go outside because of the hawks, I am going through twice the puppy pads I used to. It's SO GREAT! It's not that the food is less efficient -- their intake and weight hasn't changed -- it's that they're not eating each other's poo anymore. I have to repeat that: my dogs no longer eat each other's poop. Oh my God, what a relief! I love these little guys, but they're lap dogs, they're bred to cuddle, and curling up with animals that just munched on a gooey fresh turd is worse than kissing a smoker with garlic breath. Doesn't matter how cute they are, you just can't wait to get away.

I didn't actually believe anyone's claims that this food helps with coprophagia; to be honest, I got it because I had completely run out of dog food, it was 10 pm on a rainy Saturday, I was lazy, and it was available for immediate delivery with Amazon PrimeNow. I had given up on "cures," instead swooping down on each new poo with a handful of tissues and galloping away to flush it down the toilet before the dog was out of its squat. I don't know what is or isn't in this food that makes the difference, but it's the only thing I've ever tried that worked. Also, my poodle doesn't have those red-brown fungus stains under her eyes anymore, and she doesn't have itchy feet. My Chihuahua's dandruff also cleared up since switching to this food, even though I'm running forced air heat and it usually gets worse with the drier air.

This is the only thing my baby can eat. She has a real sensitive stomach and if I feed her any other brand she gets diarrhea and some vomiting. My vet wanted me to put her on prescription diet for sensitive stomach but she hated it. I did some research and ever since she's been on this I have had no problems. He skin is shiny and she likes it a lot! I also like the small bites because she is a bulldog and since they inhale their food the smaller bites help with that. Having prime helps because I get it super fast and the price is cheaper then what it cost at the pet store and the same as what I pay on Chewy.com.

the dogs love it. Their coats are soft shining. they have lots of energy, and the vet says they are in perfect health. Both of my dogs are rescue dogs and one of them was in terrible health and almost dead when we found her. This food and some loving did the trick for her. She was only around 6 weeks old when she was rescued by us, and we gave her this over puppy food

I have a Dalmatian and he has a sensitive stomach. We have gone through many types of dog food which resulted in things coming out of him that I won't describe. We switched to Natural Balance Limited Ingredient and what a difference! First off, he loves it (he gets both the dry and wet food of the same brand and blend). It has helped his stomach and we don't have issues with his awful gas anymore!

We bought our Jack Russell Terrier four years ago. She was only 2 months old. Soon after she started having ear infections even though we were extremely careful not to let water go into them. Our first vet could not understand what was going on so we decided to try a different one. Upon examining her he said it looked as if she was having an allergic reaction to the food we were giving her. He suggested a product with minimum amount of ingredients so after much research we opted to try Natural Balance. That was almost four years ago and I am happy to say our Abby never had any other ear problems. I strongly advise if your dog is showing signs of any type of allergies to visit your vet and ask if the food you are feeding it may be the cause. It seems that when it comes to dog food the rule for ingredient content is "less is more." Very happy with this product. I switch from the small bite size to the bigger bite size and our dog loves them both. Please note this review applies only to the dry food, we tried feeding Abby the canned version and she did not like it.
