Okay so I'm twenty years old and ever since I hit puberty I started getting stretch marks in all sorts of places. They always embarassed me and I struggled with them my whole teenage life. When I got older I had gained some weight and got more, but even after I lost the weight I still had stretch marks. This was the first lotion I tried and it really worked. I had put it on in the morning and at night for about a week and already started to see them fade. I don't know if the marks will ever be completely gone, but they have faded enough that I can finally wear a two piece bathing suit without feeling so ugly. I don't know how it works with pregnancy but my stretch marks went from a purple red to light pink in just one week! :)

I am currently 35 weeks pregnant and have been using this product religiously after my nightly shower for the past two months. Although I don't use it three times a day (as directed on the bottle), I have been pleased with it overall. My stretch marks appear less pronounced after I apply it and it's had a few minutes to soak in. I also think it smells good.

All that to say, I still have stretch marks, and they have been getting worse throughout my pregnancy. It's possible that this product has worked somewhat, since they are not bright red or extremely pronounced. I continue using it in hopes that my stretch marks will be less visible with time, and also because I like the way the lotion feels and smells. I'm not giving up on the stretch mark battle and will continue using whatever creams and lotions I need to until they fade!

Some say that having "good genes" is the only way to avoid stretch marks during pregnancy but I'd rather invest in a couple inexpensive moisturing products just in case then do absolutely nothing and hope for the best (then atleast I know I tried). For the record, the women in my family are known to have stretch marks during pregnancy and I have already gained 29 pounds throughout my own (currently I'm 30 weeks pregnant and I have absolutely no stretch marks, I will update this review after I give birth for the most accurate review). This is the routine I've created for myself:

After taking a shower in the morning, I apply Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Massage Lotion For Stretch Marks with Vitamin E and Shea Butter Women Body Lotion, 8.5 Ounce on my stomach, breasts, ribcage, hips, thighs, and butt (they say lotion absorbs into the skin the most right after taking a shower than at any other time throughout the day). Ive read many reviews in the past where women make the mistake of only applying cream on the stomach and then regret it because thier stomach looks great but everything else is covered with stretch marks. The main reason WHY I prefer this lotion in the morning compared to anything else is because its non-greasy, light, doesnt have a strong smell (not the most pleasant smell but not unbearable either), and is inexpensive. I was first introduced to this subject during my pregnancy with my daughter a few years ago. During that time (as most women) I was extremely worried about getting stretched marks. The mix of ingredients that are used Vitamin E, Shea Butter and Cocoa Butter are all items that help take care of your skin, improve its elasticity and glow. I lost 40 pounds ( with religious dedication to diet and exercise) and had stretch marks on my stomach, upper arms and thighs from the weight loss. I tried the Coco butter and have noticed some VERY pleasing results. My stretch marks are greatly reduced and my skin feels somewhat firmer. I love this product, it works better than cocoa butter for stretch marks. I just had my baby 8 mos again & I searched for a product that would reduce my stretch marks right away. So far so good, my dark stretch marks have already lightened up. You can barely tell I have stretch marks anymore.
