I bought this at Scheel's sporting goods. I did a ton of research before I made my purchase and the sale price of $999 was the clincher. So far I am really enjoying this treadmill, but I pan on following up when I've put some good miles on it. Running on this is smooth and has good deflection without being bouncy. The fans are pointed at just the right angle for me, I'm 6' tall. Speed changes are quick enough, but the elevation change seems rather slow to me. The elevation is nice going from -3° to +12°. I'm still trying to figure out how the programs work (yes, eventually I'll read the instructions) but I'd like them to be simple enough to basically jump on and use them, that's my reason or four stars and not five. I don't plan on using any of the ifit features as I'm not going to pay for it. Definitely need two people to move this thing around when it's in the box, but I put it together by my self and if you have any basic mechanical knowledge, can read and interpret directions and are willing to take your time this treadmill is really easy to put together in about 2 hours. That beats the 12 days for delivery and assembly from the store (obviously nothing to do with the treadmill itself). The speakers in the display panel are okay, but if your an audiophile you won't be happy with them. For me, listening to Metalica, they're just fine.

I purchased this treadmill back in March of 2015. I was all excited about running at home in the morning prior to going to work. I will start with the delivery. I asked that the treadmill be brought in my house and taken to my exercise room. The delivery men were brought it in my house and left it in the corridor because their order said to leave it outside. I was exchanging emails with the delivery coordinator and I was under the impression it would be placed in my exercise room. So, I had to take it down 6 stairs by myself and slide it. I set it up and was so excited to use it. I really like the fact that the belt was wide. The console display was adequate and changing the speed / incline was very simple. The treadmill was solid during the first 2 weeks of use and then things went south.

My runs during the 3rd week were filled with much disappointment. I decided to use the headset jack to plug in my iphone as opposed to wearing my headset as in weeks 1 -2. I could not believe all the loud squeaks coming from the front of the treadmill. I weigh 230 pounds and thought maybe that had something to do with it. My wife is much lighter than me and she immediately noticed the squeaking during her first run. It seems to get louder and louder the longer you run on it. My morning runs typically start at 4:30 AM and I had to stop running in the morning because the noise was waking my entire family. This treadmill is not quiet and I am currently working with Freemotion support find the root cause. This was a major investment for me as I purchased the extended warranty as well. I feel like I purchased a lemon and will now make sure I research products more thoroughly before spending my money. I really wanted to give this product a 2 star rating but I would only be misleading the other consumers out there. My recommendation for those looking to purchase a treadmill for home use is to look elsewhere because you will not be satisfied with this machine.

It squeaks way too much and I keep calling the manufacture and they ask me to take parts off to isolate where the squeaking is only to have my take about 1/4 of it apart to not be able to give me an answer

The negatives: it squeaks badly, the User interface is badly designed (Clearly no designers were involved in this), The delivery was horrible (amazon left it on my doorstep and weren't able to carry it up to my apartment). The positives: wide track, retractable.
