    Many walking shoes have a cushioned insole, but few have a cushioned insole sitting on top of a cushioned sole - a truly cushioned sole. Many so-called walking shoes feel soft when you're sitting down or on a short walk, but when the full weight of your body flattens the insole in a single step, the foot will encounter the hard sole. It might feel okay for a little while, but walk half a day in shoes like this, and your feet will begin to hurt.

    The logic of Skechers Go Walks shoes is so simple - unless you weigh 600 pounds, you'll never encounter "hard" while wearing these shoes. Even standing and jumping on one foot, the impact is always cushioned - you never hit the "hard" place because there is none, and you can walk in them all day long. It really does feel like you're walking on clouds in these Go Walks.

    I recently returned from a trip to Europe where I wore another pair of expensive high-end walking shoes all day long. By 2pm every day I needed to stop walking because the bottom of my feet hurt so bad. What I saw most other people wearing (natives, tourists, men, women alike) were Skechers Go Walks - hands down, I saw more people with them on than any other type of walking shoe. So I started asking folks about their performance and comfort, and everyone sang their praises.

    So I bought a pair (this style: Skechers Women's Go Walk Slip-On) when I got home to see what all the fuss was about, and it took only one day in them to find out that the praises I'd been hearing were not just hype - it's true.    Read more ›

    I tried Skechers Go Walk shoes shortly after Skechers started selling them, and I've been a huge fan of them ever since. I often buy new Go Walk styles--especially since I wear them more days than not--and I have found the fit and comfort of the various (Go Walk) styles to be about 90% consistent in both fit and comfort.

    These Winter Memory shoes do not fit like any of my other many Go Walk shoes. They are a bit too long and overly roomy in the toe box, yet they are very tight across the arch. They are significantly heavier and do not feel nearly as cushioned as even the older styles, before they started using memory foam.

    I would strongly suggest passing on these or, at the very least, trying them on in the store prior to purchasing them.

    I realized I initially neglected to mention a couple of things and wanted to add another. My review is based on a size 10. The uppers on this style also feel quite stiff, again when compared to the many other Go Walk styles I own and frequently wear.

    Overnight, I tried stretching the arches on these, hoping that I might be able to wear them with socks. I utilized professional, wooden shoe stretchers and spray designed for stretching suede. I've had a high degree of success with this combination on about two dozen pairs of higher-end shoes. Unfortunately, it did not work with these. I'll give it another try and will report if I achieve my goal.

    I can't tell you how many pairs of Skechers I have gone through in the past 10 years. I am an elementary school teacher and am on my feet all day long, sometimes chasing ornery kids, all the time during class, walking the halls, and on and on--I don't sit down which means I need a shoe that does the job. This is my second pair of Go Walk Walking Shoe. I LOVE them because they are professional enough and go with about any outfit. My school is (dumb enough) that they don't allow us to wear tennis shoes (those up north, that would be Sneakers) so these, to me, are a Sneaker in disguise. Great, great support, and that is mainly what I'm looking for. So-if you are on your feet for extended times or just want a REALLY comfortable walking shoe, I would recommend these, hands down! The best.

    These shoes a re like the best shoes ever . I normally wear a six but got this in 6 1/2 because this is a different kind of material then my previous go walk shoes and they fit a bit more tighter. They are comfortable on the bottom of you feet but on the top they are to tight but I do have a high upper arch on my feet plus they swell alot . Im hoping in time the more i wear them the more my feet will stretch them out to a better fit. I do have a wide foot. I love the color and that they now make them with the memory foam.

    I am very pleased with my purchase, the shoes turned out to be better than what I expected, I ordered size 10 in wide width fit, it is perfect fitting, I was afraid it will be tight or something as previous reviewers mentioned but actually it's great and feel so comfortable and looks as black as I wanted them to be! I have been using GoWalk series since they were invented, they are great for travel and long walks, I own almost all the styles and series and some have been disappointing and some are good, but I am glad this one is just perfect for me and for my fall/winter travels. I am planning to order the blue color too!
