I was a little worried ordering shrimps on amazon at first but i figured id take a chance. Im glad i did because when these guys came in i was shocked at how great the quality was. The shrimps were packed perfectly with some extremely healthy java moss in crystal clear water. The little guys were grade A, saphire blue, all were alive, and in perfect condition. I couIdnt be more happy with my order. I highly recommend buying from this seller.

These wonderful little critters arrived alive and hopping! I tested the water again before putting them in, to be on the safe side. 0 ammonia, 0 no2/3, 7.3 pH, 97f. I drip acclimated them and as soon as I added them to the tank, they were zipping around like sugared up kids at an amusement park! I dropped one of the included algae tablets (thank you for the sample!) and left for work. When I came home, they were still wizzing about. I assume they must've napped at some point.. maybe. I rinsed the java moss with siphoned tank water before adding it to the tank, thinking they'd like it. Could be, if they ever stop moving for more than a snack. The other inhabitants are 3 stems of water sprite, three small moss balls, a java fern, 10 stems baby tears, five hassocks of dwarf hairgrass (not yet trimmed to encourage spread), seven 2-4 stem bundles of staurogyne repens, a dwarf lily bulb, driftwood with fun features for them to explore and a beta for them to bounce off. That last bit is no joke. One of the larger shrimp (they're all tiny) actually ricocheted off the crown tail betta who bore it with good grace. I keep the betta fed. He'll investigate the shrimp, have staring contests with them and play hide and seek (he'll bump the plant one is hiding in, then swim away). I don't think he'll fall victim to betta environment boredom, nor will the shrimp wind up expensive feeders.

I am a novice when it comes to shrimp, but these shrimp are hardy. This is my first go at raising shrimp. Within the first 2 weeks the shrimp laid eggs!! I had no idea the eggs were there but I removed a dead plant and transplanted another plant and there were about 10 eggs the color of the stars used for rating this product and they were hidden in the plants roots. I'm afraid they will not hatch because I had to touch 1 or 2 eggs that were buried in the gravel when I moved the plant. I don't know if the eggs are cared for or guarded and by disturbing them the shrimp won't care for them. Water needs to be checked pretty often. Water changes are needed pretty often. Getting the right amount of food serving is hard because these shrimp are clever at blending in and do not attack the food as I have seen other breeds do. I found that feeding them at night and turning off the light is best because the food is gone the next day. These shrimp are on the shy side, but when you look at them no other breed compares to the beauty of their color, in my opinion. I'm learning new things every day but I would highly recommend these shrimp. You will pay 2-3 times as much elsewhere. I'm ordering another 6 riget now :)

Absolutely beautiful shrimp arrived healthy. I would have given five stars if they arrived on time and were labeled "live animals." That being said however, the very fact that they STILL arrived healthy and stunningly beautiful says a lot about this company's packaging and quality of animals.
