MSI really hit it out of the park with this one! They contacted some top case modders in the industry and asked what they could do for them. The result was the Krait. The first and currently, only black and white MOBO.

Pros:
-Gorgeous Aesthetics
-Simple and attractive BIOS UI (Features one-click Overclock for CPU and RAM).
-Angled Sata Headers
-M2 Sata slot
-6 fan headers in preferable locations
-Minimalist design on MOBO itself
-Can OC stably with the best of them (i5 4690k 4.6ghz on H20)

Cons:
-GPU can cover the SATA ports, therefore it is advised to install SATA cables before GPU.
-Kind of weak in Synthetic and Real World benchmarks
-No on-board audio boost as seen in other MSI boards
-Chrome IO Panel (Really wish this would have been black and white as well)

Overall I am extremely pleased with this motherboard and its performance. I will update again in 6 months and edit how it is performing at that time. Very pleased with this motherboard and hope that MSI will begin to release other products with these colors. I know Red and Black is their bread and butter, but I cant handle seeing another Red/Black build in a Fractral R4/ NZXT H440.

Has a quality bios mode with options for manual or automatic overclocking. Has 3 system fan connectors on motherboard (one 4-pin, two 3 pin).

I've got an i7-4790k, 970 GTX SC, 8 GB memory at 1600 MHZ and the motherboard runs them smooth as silk. The automatic overclocking option, while not super aggressive, took my 4790k from 4.0 to a stable 4.4 GHZ and since it's "automatic" it took care of voltage, timing, etc.

Using for a linux photo editing rig, specifically Ubuntu / Darktable

GOOD:
Works perfectly with linux (ubuntu 13 & 14) in combination with a 4570s processor (stock cooler no OC).
Has good clear instructions.
Slot layout is nice for this price point.

BAD:
Metal port-plate is cheap, flimsy, and makes no sense, specifically the weird tabs everywhere.
Using the mPCI-e / M.2 slot disables SATA ports 5&6. It says this in the description on MSI's site, but its a big bummer if you didn't read closely...
Fan speed is not controllable from bios as far as I can find.
Fan speed does not report or listen to the linux fan speed programs.

Good to know:
One SATA cable is straight and one is 90deg.
The PCB is BROWN not black, like it appears in the pictures. It's a very dark brown, but brown nonetheless. My case doesn't have a window, so I really don't care, but some of you might.
Fits great and wires nicely in a Silverstone SG10B

EDIT/UPDATE:
Had to shave down the ram lock arms to allow a asus gtx 970 strix to slot in. I assume this would be the case with any videocard that had a thick backplate. I very simply clipped the outer push down lobe with a pair of nail clippers, leaving them totally functional while giving me the extra 3-4mm of clearance. The video card WILL have to come out to add/swap ram.

For the price it's an excellent board. Replaced a failing ASRock Z97 E6 with this board and I couldn't be happier. Installed it and it booted right up, no issues whatsoever. I've seen some reviews with complaints about there being legacy PCI slots -- what's the big deal? Still supports SLI and has an m.2 slot for an SSD. The legacy PCIs are actually kind of a nice touch.

Board looks great; highly recommend it at this price point. Not an overload of features, but it's reliable, looks awesome and has everything you'd need for gaming/overclocking.

I am very happy with this board. It is a good price and works well for my application. I am using it with a 128GB M.2 SSD to improve time for boot and wake.

Two words of caution:

Mine came with the 1.0 BIOS installed. The current revision of the BIOS is 1.3. (as of July 4, 2014) I had to upgrade the BIOS to 1.3 to get this product to wake from sleep properly. It would wake from hibernate properly, but not from sleep. With the 1.3 BIOS it was fine.

Be careful about reflashing the BIOS, I used M-Flash from within the BIOS and did not have any problems -- but many people online seemed to have problems reflashing MSI BIOS from Windows using another technique.

As the title says. MSI has just released JUST the driver for the qualcomm ethernet port. Download the file then remove the qualcomm killer suite under program removal and restart. Once restarted go to your device manager and the ethernet should be there with a warning sign. Open propreties then update driver. Make sure to pick the right folder after unzipping em. It has 4 folders win7x64/86 and win81 x64/86. Obviously depends on your windows version x86 is 32bit and x64 is for 64bit. Pick the folder then press enter and let it update. Just did it and works fine. Everyone hates the Killer Network app i had no problem with it but frees up space this way.

There you go for anyone wondering. And btw i love the board just bought it two weeks ago. Looks awesome with a Noctua sitting on it.

Update. Have had it a couple months now still going strong with no problems. Have updated the BIOS twice with no issues using M-Flash. Have turbo boosted my 4690k to 4.2ghz still running cool and the gaming 5 has the voltage right where its supposed to be automatically. Only issue for me is without loudness equalization enabled the volume is quite a bit lower then the hp i was using before. No idea why that is but its not a problem. Could just be my logitech speakers aren't up to par.
