I've been looking for a LONG time for a pair of bluetooth headphones to use while running. I don't need fantastic sound, but I need them to stay in my ears while running, and I need them to be sweat proof. While these did an ok job of staying in place, and I returned them before I could really test their sweat-proofness, these just didn't seem to be truly designed for active use.
There were two main reasons I returned them: consistent dropouts, and cord noise. Things started off well enough; sound was good, paired easily and the earphones stayed in place. However, there was CONSIDERABLE cord noise. Enough so, that I was having trouble hearing my music clearly and had to raise the volume to hear it over the sound of the cord noise. I followed the instruction manual and had used the cord cinch to ensure a snug fit, but having a snug fit actually made the cord noise worse. Loosening it a bit made things better, but then the ear pieces had a greater tendency of working themselves loose during the run. They definitely stayed in place better if I cinched the headphones tighter.
I might be able to continue to play with placing fabric between myself and the cord to minimize microphonics, but the dropouts I experienced were what made me decide to ultimately send the headphones back. As I mentioned earlier, things started off well, but by the 15 minute mark, the headphones were starting to dropout once every minute or so. I could deal with drop outs every couple of minutes, but it continued to get worse. By the 25 minute mark, it was happening 3-4 times a minute. By the 35 minute mark, it was happening every 3-4 seconds.Read more ›

Thank you for your feedback and sorry to hear that your X6 earphones were less than satisfying. The cord noise can be eliminated by moving the cable cinch up and making sure the loose cable does not have anything to bounce off of (eg. a collared shirt, the bill of a cap, etc). As far as the dropouts, has unpairing and repairing helped your issue at all?
